My first Job Designation was Associate IT Consultant ( which probably matches with NOC 2171)
Second one was Software Engineering Analyst(Not sure which NOC 217 it goes to)
Third one was Consultant/Senior Consultant (NOC 2171)
Current one is Software Developer( NOC 2174)
My Actual role involves programming and development of web application/web sites etc. (NOC 2174)

Now based on the most years of experience I should either choose 2171 or 2174. How do I decide that? Anyone else had this bizarre confusion before?

To be honest I feel like most of the 217* NOC description overlaps.
2171: Information systems analysts and consultants analyze systems requirements, develop and implement information systems development plans, policies and procedures, and provide advice on a wide range of information systems issues.

2174: Computer programmers write, modify, integrate and test computer code for microcomputer and mainframe software applications, data processing applications, operating systems-level software and communications software. Interactive media developers write, modify, integrate and test computer code for Internet applications, computer-based training software, computer games, film, video and other interactive media

2175: Web designers and developers research, design, develop and produce Internet and Intranet sites

My role is full stack Microsoft platform Web Development, SharePoint Development, SharePoint solution consulting, which covers all of the above NOCs.

Get the experience letter first, and then try to match job duties with either one. It all depends upon the language in your letter.
