Chld benefits

Good afternoon forum,

I have a quick question in the spousal application they asked if am on social assistance which I am not but my daughter who is nearly two years receive child benefits from the Government since she is entitled to it. I dont think this should affect my application just would like some insight. Thank you

Social assistance is different than child benefits.
Everyone gets these child benefits.
and no, it will not affect your application in anyway. Don't worry about it.

Child Tax Benefit and Universal Child Care Benefit are not considered social assistance for the purpose of making a sponsor ineligible. If those are what you are referring to, you are fine.
