Hi Guys,
So I worked in China for 2 years and had to get the China PCC anyways. I received this notary letter stating that I have no criminal record there in Chinese and English. The Chinese version of PCC has a Stamp in red and an Emboss Stamp over it but the English translation that is also provided by the same notary has only Emboss stamp over it. Chinese and English versions are provided by the same authority - a Notary Public Officer. My question is do I still need a certified translator to convert this Chinese version of PCC to English? Can anyone confirm that the ENglish version given to me is sufficient. I know there are many Chinese nationals here and also those who are from other countries but worked in China and now need PCC. So this will help all of them. Please inform.

Thank you!

I submitted only the notary letter, which includes both the original chinese letter and the english translation provided by the same agency.
All my friends did this when required to provide PCC in China.

Also when I was applying for my study visa like 4 years ago, I was required to provide my birth certificate and I submitted a notary letter as well with the original english translation and there was no problem with it. So I assume just the notary letter should be sufficient.

Hi you need to go to the nearest police station in your area and then tell them you need the No Criminal offense certificate.
In China, the central government does not issue PCC, the authority of each Chinese city can be different, such as police station in Beijing is not able to issue PCC for foreigners. So you can hire an agency for this work, such as chinapoliceclearance.com
