I tried to correct the wrong date of my information but I dont know why it changed itself into the wrong order of day and month.

No problem, fixed.

the one difficulty is making sure people using the Beijing VO find this forum and add themselves. I looked in the months after july and there doesnt appear to be any Beijing users on the forum. :( hopefully they come.

Hi Everyone,

I was thinking we could create a spreadsheet like the other groups, Just because there is only a few of us it can be difficult to track but we can build it for the future applicants.

I started one here, please edit / add your details and we can begin working on it for the future. (I guessed on a few application sent dates please check yours)

8) Great idea - thanks for doing it! My wife said that many people in China follow this forum closely (this thread in particular) in addition to their Chinese counterpart forum

Thanks for setting up the spreadsheet. It will be useful for current and future applicants.

5 days with "decision made" but we have not received the passport back from Beijing. The suspense is killing me.

Hey,

Recently found this forum! And boy, glad I did!

I'm a Canadian citizen by birth, sponsoring my Chinese wife. Met her while we were both studying abroad in university. Our case has a few blemishes, but every individual case is special on its own merit and I spent a lot of time doing the sponsorship application and provided many pictures, details, letters, etc.

Thank you to Kysorb for creating the spreadsheet. I'll go on and add myself there as well just to track timelines and hopefully provide guidance to future sponsors.

Anyway my quick stats and also I got a question.

Application date: June 5th, 2014
Application rec'd by CIC: June 5th, 2014
SA: July 31st, 2014
AOR2: Sept 19th, 2014

That's it so far...still waiting for the PPR. CIC status check still shows "application received" and "medicals received". No change since SA.

My first question, how is the passport requested? We've put our emails on the application, so it is automatically paperless and all mail is sent via email?

Secondly, once the passport is requested, how much longer...? A lot of people while in process for their applications will post updates, but once sponsorship visa approved, they will no longer update, totally understandable though!

Thirdly, I only paid the first half of the sponsorship application. When does CIC request the latter payment for permanent residence?

Thanks all and have a nice day! Everybody hang in there :)

You will get email for requested passport ( actually it will go to your wife's email) instead of yours. Please remember that Beijing visa office will only contact your wife by email instead of you. ( I am sure that's how she got AOR2)

When passport is requested, it must be received at Beijing office within 45 days. I guess they will ask you to pay the rest when the passport is requested. You can check cic website about it.

Hope it helps.

Not Paying the 2nd part of the fee will delay your file, so you cant really look at most peoples results for "How much longer after PPR" as most have prepaid all the fees. A person who applied with the Beijing VO in January had their processing delayed by just over a month while the embassy needed to wait for confirmation of the paid RPRF. They will likely ask for this fee to be paid along with the PPR.

Package from the embassy was delivered to my old workplace today. I will pick it up from them tomorrow.

I think my process is over :)

I would go along with Kysorb on the fees. First, I have seen it mentioned on many different threads. Secondly, I didn't pay mine up front and our application was "lagging" others. So I paid the fee and our app suddenly speeded up. I can't guarantee the cause and effect but everyone says to pay all the fees up front. By the way, after I paid the last fee online I sent the receipt to the Beijing office by mail.

If that's the case I hope they can all figure out how to see the spreadsheet.

FOR ALL PEOPLE INSIDE CHINA you must be using a VPN to view a Google Doc website, otherwise it will say the app is unavailable.

Thanks for all the info!

I wish I had paid all the fees up front.

I'll pay it asap now and then send Beijing VO the receipt then, will see if that makes a difference...

Thanks again!

Yes. shhh.. ;) (hopefully the "greatwall" blockade stays one or two steps behind the current VPN's - the US now auto-'recognizes' my Canadian VPN attempts at accessing "US only" content... :(..)

Hi Degi, did you use DHL for waybill?

Thank you very much
