My wife told me that folks on the Chinese forum she goes to said to keep writing once every two weeks to push them to finish. I don't know if this is such a good idea, but certainly, if it's been longer than you think is reasonable, send them an e-mail...wait two weeks, if no reply, send again...

Hey guys, Sorry i haven't been a touch for a while , was busy welcoming my wife here in Canada , thank God she is here with me now
Iamhopeful , i don't think you need to write Decision made likely means she got the visa just wait she will get her PP back.
If you write like i did, you will probably just have a generic copied pasted E-mail from them

Good luck to all!

Hi everyone,

I was thrilled when I found the forum and this thread. I did a lot of research on PR application and now I'm confused. Here is the thing: I'm a citizen of PRC but residing in US on working visa. I really want to know which office I should apply, Beijing or Buffalo?

I would really appreciate it if anyone can shed some lights or point me the right direction.

Thanks again.

My wife will be landing in Canada very soon (I am looking for next week !!). I am the happiest man on hearth now. I will be back here sometime this coming week with a detailed timeline of my application processing.

My best wishes to everybody still waiting.

Hi,
We are about to submit our application after months of preparation. My wife is Chinese living in Sichuan Province, I am Canadian living in Canada.

I am just wondering the correct address to put on the Mailing Labels (8) that are requested in the China Specific Forms. I am acting as my wife's Representative and used my address in Canada on the application form where it said Current Mailing Address. However the China Specific Appendix A Checklist asks for Address in Chinese characters, while stating that if a third party "represents you and you have used their address as your mailing address we will automatically direct all correspondence to them". Then it asks again for 8 labels with mailing address in Chinese characters

So what goes on the labels - my address in Canada (in English, no characters), or my wife's address in China (Pinyin and characters) ?

I think I am confused because I don't know what they will be sending to the address. If passport (later hopefully) then it should go back to her. Everything else to me as her representative.

Can anybody clear up my cloudy thinking?

Since your wife is still living in China, the address labels should be in Chinese characters, as they will send information from the visa office to the applicant's address.

Good luck and wish you a quick process!

Hey everyone,

My wife and I are going through the Beijing office for her immigration to Canada.

Our application was received in Mississauga on March 15th, 2012. I was approved as a sponsor on June 25th, 2012 and the application was sent to the Beijing office on the same date.

At least, I think so.

In the email they sent me saying I was approved for sponsorship, they said that our application had been forwarded to Beijing. It's now July 18th, 2012 and we have no idea what is going on. We have not received any confirmation from the Beijing office that they have our application.

Anyone else have any updates??

Hello bob, do you have the same link for March ones? When I click the links you provided, I get an error message saying file not found.

Thanks

My husband and I just started our application, still gathering the information but not far... Being apart from the person you love is really unbearable.

I hope our application will go well like some of you.

Good luck to everyone!

Good luck!

My wife is now waiting for Beijing to ask for her passport. My sponsorship approval was on June 25th, 2012, so hopefully we hear something soon too.

Hi Joshmantis,

We are almost at the same point. I received my sponsorship approval on June 6. Beijing asked for my wife passport on June 26. It is just to give you an idea.

Best of chance
