Hi - Still here.
Our experiences of late have been relatively unremarkable... We got our first GCMS notes, which mostly indicate that our application has had a somewhat cursory look over, and an interview recommendation is in a review process of sorts. We recently voluntarily sent additional relationship information, at first attempting to send it thru the Case Specific Enquiry-Beijing portal, which is not functioning, so we sent this and one other update to Beijing's regular email address, and received an auto confirmation of their receiving it. Spoke with a CIC Call Centre Agent about how to interpret our first GCMS notes (we've ordered our second set which should arrive before my trip to Beijing at the end of this month) and he was actually very helpful and gave some reassurances relating to various details of the whole process by which they come to a decision - regarding some key points, they seek a consensus amongst various officers... which was interesting. He also alluded to China, India, and the Philippines processing the greater number of applications, which was more or less his offer of condolences to the seeming lack of movement in information on any activity. :
