I guess but I am not sure, a child under 18 cannot sign the app, parent/guardian needs to do that
Consult your guide and instructions on the form

Your daughter can not sign the application. She will need her legal 'guardian' to sign it in her place.

Hi, I need you help.

Both Parents are canadian PR Holders and now father wants to sponsor his 1 year old daughter. Father is in canada, while child and mother are in their home country awaiting sponsorship for child.
Confusion is about forms.
1) In All Immigration Form...............Principal Applicant is CHILD. Right ?

2) For Additional Dependants/Declaration [IMM 0008DEP],............no need for this form. Correct ?

3) Schedule A – Background/Declaration [IMM 5669]..................Is it only required for a child, or both parents (who already are PR holders) should also fill their form. In this form at the top indicates ; whether you are • principal applicant • spouse or common-law partner or dependent children aged 18 years or older of the principal applicant ..................So where to mark if both parents have to fill this form too ?

In my point of view...........Please correct only following forms are required, in above scenrio (1 year old child sponsorship- both parents are canadian PR)
Sponsorship forms

•Document Checklist [IMM 5491]
•Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking [IMM 1344]
•Sponsorship Evaluation [IMM 5481]

Immigration forms

•Generic Application Form for Canada [IMM 0008]
•Schedule A – Background/Declaration [IMM 5669] .....................Is it required by Parents only or for child only ?
•Additional Family Information [IMM 5406] .................................Is it required by Parents only or for child only ?

Every related form is needed to fill by keeping in mind the principal applicant is your child now... So fill accordingly... Forms will be filled by the Sponsor and the Principal applicant only, this is what logic says. Get expert views as well

You, as the sponsor, fill out all the sponsorship paperwork needed for sponsorship. Your daughter, the child is the primary applicant. All of her information goes in the primary applicants paperwork. You wife, or yourself may sign the papers for your daughter as guardian. There is NO PAPERWORK needed from the primary applicants paperwork for the adults in this scenario. You and your wife are NOT applying. Your daughter is applying, YOU are her sponsor. Your wife is NOT a co sponsor.

Thank you soo much, I really appreciate your response.

What I have analyzed.
Sponsorship forms;
•Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking..............ONLY FATHER
•Sponsorship Evaluation [IMM 5481].................ONLY FATHER

Immigration Forms;
•Generic Application Form for Canada [IMM 0008]..............ONLY DAUGHTER
•Additional Dependants/Declaration [IMM 0008DEP]..............NO NEED TO FULL THIS FORM
•Schedule A – Background/Declaration [IMM 5669] ]..............ONLY DAUGHTER (please confirm it this is requires for dauther & father or none)
•Additional Family Information [IMM 5406]....................NO NEED TO FILL THIS FORM

Besides this, country specific form also required to fill...........Am I right.

Appreciate your response..

Please read this first http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/3999Etoc.asp Then find your countries specific guide on what forms need to be filled out. ANYTHING in the applicant package relates ONLY to your Daughter. It has nothing to do with you or your wife. ONLY THE CHILD. You must be sure to fill out ALL required documents. If they are not needed the write N/A across the form and include it with your child application.

Quick summary: IM008 Yes, your daughter needs this. No she doesn't need to fill out IM008DEP as she has none of her own. IMM5669 yes, your daughter ONLY fills this out. IMM5406 Your daughter does in fact need this form as well.

Read the directions of the guide for your area. If you are unsure, read it again. If you don't include all the necessary documents your file won't be processed in a timely manner.

Good luck.
