Hi worrie-ds,
Thanks for the wishes. I am not quite sure what a fairness letter is like. So i would tell you my details and time frame. Generally, in case of a work permit application, an approval or passport request is supposed to come through with in 15 days to a month after initial medicals. In the initial medical, they noticed my son wasn't talking so they reported it. But i thought that was all clear. In our case, the medicals are done locally but the CIC's medical officer's get reports in a neighboring country and then forward their assessments to CIC. So there was no feedback from CIC at first and then i got a letter via normal post from the medical officer in the neighboring country (which was CIC's medical assessment supervisor). The letter said i have to get my son evaluated from a child specialist / psychologist and the local Medical center will have the details so i should book appointment with them.
So i did so and on the day of appointment where i took my son along, i discovered that they do not have local specialists to evaluate. So they gave me a sealed letter - addressed to one of the best hospitals in the country and advise contacting a child specialist / psychologist there.
Luckily my kids were born at the same hospital so they had their entire medical file. It took me 2-3 visits to a specialist there, who verbally told me that he suspect ADHD, but not confirmed. Still in his assessment it was not a significant burden on health care system in Canada.
However, i didn't get to see his official feedback, which was handed over to me with hospital's seal and it included a form that he filled which was part of the first letter i received from the local Canadian medical health care office. I submitted that feedback to the medical practitioner and it was added to my file. My original medicals were done around Sept 20th and i finally received visa approval around Nov. 26th. It had taken me 2 weeks to get feedback from that specialist in local hospital. But i believe it was around 20 days after my final submission that we received visas.
