I am ca citizen and father of two children. I applied for their citizenship and then we left canada.
After three years i received a letter to provide school records.

If i don,t submit school records what would happen?

Since kids pr is already expired, how could i take kids back to canada ?

Thanks for your help.

The best advise will be contact with local Canadian consulate office for further steps possibly get travel documents for kids and then renew PR card.

If you don't response to CIC on school record, they will likely close the file. If your kids attended in overseas school, get the report cards from those schools. If they are not in school, write a letter explaining why they are not attending school..

You should have renewed before apply. However, if your application is accepted and moved to "in process", then you will have opportunity to explain officer the reason for not renewing on the day of test.

Just curious as to how and when you got your citizenship as the kids may have a faster route to citizenship....3 years is most unusual.

Permanent Residence doesn't expire, just the card expires. You should apply for card renewal as well as applying for citizenship.

My kids were homeschooled, so had no school records to submit with our citizenship applications. We went to a lawyer and swore out statutory declarations stating the dates they lived in Canada and the reason why they didn't have school attendance records.
