Dear All,

I have a 7 year old son who has had speech delays and has sensory processing disorder. Me and my family have applied for immigration and our medical assessment came out fine. My son has been called for medical assessment again, retrospectively in our earlier medical assessment we had provided the doctor with MRI scan of my son which we had done when he was 3 years and 2 months old. This was done in the US and the Neuro physician said in her report that he was normal but exhibited hyper activity which is due to sensory processing disorder. Now I have read about cases with mild autisim to sever autism being refused. He is not autistic nor has ASD which was ruled out by the doctors, he has sensory processing issues that too of very mild nature, he goes to normal school, requires assistance academically some times, other wise is independent, social and friendly. The Neuro physician advised that with effective therapy and intervention he will come up the curve and will become like mainstream children his age.

Now, i am seeking some advise as he has been asked go under further medical tests, and I am sure these will be psychological evaluations to assess his dependence. would my case be refused?

Also i have read that medical costs associated with an autistic child are around 5000$ a year over and above the average. If I can provide the money upfront or park it in an account in his name for 10 years will that be considered in acceptance? or would it still be refused...

eager for your help and advise...

thank you all

What is your current status ? Have you got any reply from CIC ?
Don't worry with your son condition. Finally you would get fairness letter in the worst case
