Child visit visa extension refusal.

Hi all,

We applied together for my wife's PGWP, my open work permit extension and our child's visit visa extension. But today Aug. 5,2023our child's application recieved a refusal says her visa already expired in june 2022(1.5 yrs before). Then only we realised that her visit visa should be renewed every six month, our lack of knowledge. Now the letter says she have to leave Canada immediately. Is there any chance we can restore her status from inside Canada (going through any ircc lawyer), she is only 3. We both recieved a correspondance letter for our application same time. Will our childs refusal and status effect our application too. Please help, thank you

There's no way to restore her status from with Canada. This is only possible for 90 days after her status expires. She needs to exit and re-enter Canada to fix her status.

Thanks for your reply. Is there any chance of inadmissibility if we take our daughter voluntarily out of Canada? Will she usually receive another Visit visa or visitor record when we apply from our country?
