""Which Services are Not Covered?
The Medicare does not cover for the following:
• Over-the-Counter Drugs/Medicines;
• Prescription drugs (eg. PharmaCare http://www.health.gov.bc.ca/pharmacare/index.html);
• Services that are deemed not medically required, such as Cosmetic Surgery;
• Dental services, except as outlined under benefits;
• Routine eye examinations for persons 19 to 64 years of age;""""'

1) so ths means her examination is free till 19 years ?
2) does her glasses bill funded or i have to pay..as an average she breaks 3 specs every month..::(

1. Yes - normal eye exams are free until a child is 19.
2. You will have to pay for your child's glasses - they are not covered by the provincial health plan. Or, depending on who your employer is, the additional health benefits offered by your employer may cover part of these costs (these plans typically cover a new set of glasses every two years).

I receive additional health benefits through my employer. My employer's provider is Manulife.
