Child recently became a citizen and applying for Canadian passport.

My child recently became a Canadian citizen and I am applying for his first Canadian passport. I am not sure if anyone on here have the same case as I am.

Before we got our Sponsorship approved back in 2016, CIC have this Declaration from Non-Accompanying Parent form. I got this done and signed, otherwise, we won't make it here in Canada. Fast forward to our situation now, as mentioned above, my child is a new citizen and we hope he gets a Canadian passport. The thing is that, his BC is obviously what we have from our home country that shows the biological father's name (we were never married). My Canadian husband is technically my child's step-father now. We only have our Marriage Certificate.

I wonder if anyone here have been through the same situation as I am? Were you able to get your child a Canadian passport?

Hi, were you able to get your child's new passport without need for the consent of his bio dad?
