Hi All,

My daughter- 11 is in India studying and we are applying for her citizenship along with our application.
For the photo requirement, I got the same taken in India and trying to gte it printed in Canada. Noone seems to print it here. What do I do?

I had a bad experience during PR, when the photos I took in India were not accepted. I had to take in Canada again.

Your daughter still needs to maintain her PR RO requirements regardless of whether you have citizenship. While she does not need to meet residency requirement to qualify for citizenship, her PR RO is still required.

They will not accept picture made from a picture. She will need to have original citizenship photos made and sent to you.

Please go through picture requirement, the studio needs to confirm that they have taken the picture with the date of the picture and address of studio. Don't think any studio is going to do that for you without taking the picture of the person physically present there. Try to get her pictures courier to you from India.

As mentioned before, no studio in Canada is going to print a picture from a picture taken in India (digital / paper). They would need to stamp date and name of studio on back of photo as per citizenship requirement. They are not going aid and abet in fraud by claiming to take a picture of a person who isn't there in front of them.
