Child in Canada on visitor Visa

Hello All,
I am a PR holder in Canada and was in India for last one year to give birth to our child in Oct 2017. We eventually moved back to Canada in May 2018 and since there was no time she came with us on a visitor visa. The visitor visa is due to expire in Nov 2018. We will be applying for her PR under the Family sponsorship however just wanted to take views of others who are in the same boat.
1. As the PR application will take more than one year does she need extension of visitor visa?
2. If she needs the extension of visitor visa, is it better to apply for the PR and then for extension of visitor visa or vise-versa?
Am I missing anything?

1. Expect about 6 months. Child apps are faster than adult apps. Yes, you need to extend her visitor status.

2. Doesn't matter.
