Hello Guys,
I hope everyone is doing great.
I am in a big trouble over here and really need advice. I applied for PEI provincial program along side my wife and both of us recently got our passports stamping request, but my wife is pregnant in her 2nd month now. So, the situation has become very tricky for us.
On talking with our immigration consultant he advises to deliver the baby in Canada only as straight away the child will receive Canadian passport and both of us can work towards our respective passports. But as easy it may sound, it is very difficult for us as firstly we don't know anyone over there, especially in PEI and secondly, we are not sure will it be a good step for us.
We are Indian citizens and looking forward to move to Canada. What will be the best step in this case?
Also, we were thinking that we visit PEI for like 7-10 days and get our formalities done like apply for PR card and all that may be in next 2 months so as to secure our PR and then deliver our child in India and may be in another year or so when time is right we move to PEI. Can we include our child in this case or do we need to apply our PR again. Any pointers in this direction would be really really helpful.
Lastly, my immigration consultant says that since ours is a provincial program therefore our first stop in Canada should be PEI only. While looking for tickets this was not feasible as there was no connectivity to PEI. The only way we could reach there is through Toronto or any other big city. Is this true and how should i approach this ?
We are in a very big dilemma and our future depends on this as we are not even sure what to do next.
Please, share your inputs or similar experiences in case.
Thanks.
