Hi,
I am living in Canada on work permit since July 2018 with my wife. We have a child born in Canada. Its now more than 18month and as i understand i am eligible for child care benefits.
Now my wife went to my home country in Nov and coming back in March ie 5 months. Is she still eligible for child care benefits. She had OWP initially and converted to Visitor record after 1 years. Thanks.

You only apply for child care benefits once - they are for your child. You and your wife do not both apply.

Sorry, i understand. She will be applying for Child care benefits. My question was she being outside the Canada for 5 months, will at affect her CCB application in any ways? Thanks

Where will your child be? With your wife? If so, wait until she is back before applying.

Will the child be outside Canada as well?
