Hi guys,

My brother-in-law and his wife filed Canadian Skilled Class Immigration in 2006 from India. Now they have received letter for MEDICAL but during this time they had one baby CHILD.(born oct 2007)

What should they do now? Should they continue with the application and apply for their child once they are immigrated in Canada? They are worrying that updating there file about child might DELAY their processing. Please suggest.

Please aalso suggest how to update about child if its the only way out??

Regards, Satinder

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
They need to add the child to their application. Tell them to fax the embassy or visa office and ask for further instructions. If they get their visas and land in Canada without adding this baby to their file, immigration will consider this a fraud and they will not be able to sponsor the baby in the future.

I think in their medical letter they are asked to send their updated file....they can include the child in the updated file (?)

I am not sure how long they take to respond to fax...Is their any link on canadian website which explain how to update about new born family members?

Please sent the consulate the application of the new born with photos ( i think 4 nos is needed) with a covering letter stating the details of updating the profile. Send the passport copies + birth certficate of the infant. Sent the application fee for the new born ( it was around $130 USD if i am correct in 2008. Please check the new fee in www.cic.gc.ca ). After the consulate receives your updated details, they will send the medicals for the new applicant also. Then proceed for medicals together (advisable to do it together as the medicals are vaild for 1 year ).

You should update the consulate if there is a change in family composition.
