As you are visiting to attend a medical conference, it could seem unusual that you want your daughter (although she is very young) and your mom to accompany you. It would also make your family ties to Canada to outweigh those to your home country.

1. For how long is the conference?

2. Has your mom and daughter accompanied you on similar visits abroad to countries that require visas?

Its a week long conference . And i cant leave my child for almost 8-10 days.
My husband usually accompanies me in such cicumstances; i have my visa record that i have never left her alone; and my husband has gone with me .
As my husband didnt get off this time; so i requested my mom to go along.

Does your mom and your daughter have previous travel history of accompanying you to countries such as the US, UK, Schengen, etc?

My daughter has travelled with me to U.S, UK, Malaysia n i got her visa to japan; but she got sick ; so i went without her; but that was a 3 days trip.
Not my mom..

1. What did you state as the reason for your mom to visit?

2. What ties can your mom demonstrate to her home country? For example, is she employed/manages a business + owns property/land + does she live with other dependent family members (your dad, unmarried siblings, grandparents) + she has a good financial situation?

I stated the same reason that i want to take my daughter, husband cant go so mom will accompany
She is a widow, living with my married brother , well i didnt attach the propeety papers of hers; she is my brotgers partner in business after my dad
All the siblings are married .
N lastly my maternal grand parents n unclea are settled in canada; which i stated and told that we will also visit them.
My uncle asked me if he should send an invitation for my mom; but i thought that will complicate; so didnt even attach that...
Now i need advicw for re applying.
Wt extra details shall i put..

Is there a reason that you can't travel without your child? I think you will still have difficulty explaining why it is necessary for her to travel with you with your mother when you are at a work conference. Best of luck.

IMO, your mom has a 50-50 to a slim chance of a TRV approval under the present circumstances + if her purpose of visit is to babysit your daughter when you are at the conference.

Here's why:
1. No previous travel

2. Her purpose of visit to take care of your minor daughter is not convincing as your visit is for only 8-10 days

3. Your mom is a widow with no dependent family members in her home country.

4. I'm guessing she is not an active business partner in your brother's business i.e. she is not required to manage the business on a day-to-day basis

5. Her family ties to Canada (she has several relatives) will outweigh those to her home country = Potential to overstay her visit

6. Property is an inactive tie which does not require the applicant to return to the home country by a specific date (unless there are other reasons associated with that property that necessitate a return)

Well either me or her father have to be with her ; i have never left her alone with the grand parent even for so many days.
My husband wont be able to take off during those days and maybe he reavels for 2 days during that time.
I fail to understand why cant i take her.
You can go to conferences with family.
And where are they expecting me to leave my child? I would have taken my husband along if he wasnt busy

Although you have not posted the strong ties/personal and professional situation of your husband, it would be best if he does NOT apply for a TRV under the present circumstances + to take care of your daughter. Chances of him being refused are high

She has a travel history to malaysia; my sister lives there.. though thats not a good one
Yes she isnt an active member
Well i need to reapply; else there is no chance that i can go.
I have askedthe conference ppl to give me an inviration letter for both.
Will that help? Or shall i attach my maternal uncles' invitation letter by hus lawyer ?

Well i can show his strong professional ties here ; but there is no point in applying for him ; as he cant go.

Unfortunately, Malaysia is very liberal in issuing visas. So travel to Malaysia won't help for her TRV.

Yes she isnt an active member
She would need to prove that she is actively managing the business + business registration documents + prove she earns a regular income/profits from the business, etc

No, invitation letters from the conference organizers will not work as your mom and daughter are not attending the conference.

A lawyer cannot help for the invitation letter. Also, a letter issued by your maternal uncle would indicate a purpose of visit that is entirely different from her previous application i.e. it would change from wanting to babysit to wanting to visit them and for sightseeing. To the visa officer, this would seem like your mom is not truthful

Chances of a TRV refusal would be high in his case considering you only want your mom or your husband to accompany you to babysit your daughter
