thank you in advance !! I asked one question from "naaz" but didn't get any reply so far. So could you please help me on this? See my below query for you, hope you will help me on this.

I was going through with so many comments in this forum regarding "employment verification call". But telling you frankly, didn't get any clear view over this. Some say it's random, some say it's totally depends on VO, some say third parties do it for Embassies or some say it's mandatory. What's your take on this?

Dear Nitin,

Employment verification is part of the background checks. Verification calls are made to confirm the ligitimacy of the documents that applicant has provided to support the claims. Verification calls are also made randomly by the VO in order to maintain system integrety.

There is no specific criteria according to which verification calls are made. In case vo has some doubts about the documents furnished, a verification call is expected. There are other means to access the claims by the applicant e.g. Interviews, Site visits, Procedural fairness letter( myself had this method ). One or a combination of these methods can be used by the VO at his or her discretion.

Hope this helps, please feel free to ask any further. ;D ;D

Hey harry,

hope you're doing fine!! any ideas what all changes can be made in July, 2012? Please share your thoughts.

Hi Nitin,

We will come to see a totally new system in the coming months. I believe that it will be easier for the trades people like us to move to Canada. The best part is that applicants have to provide the IELTS score according to their profession. There is no point in giving PR to a Engineer who has less than perfect english skills. Young applicants will be favoured in the new process, this is important as well because they will work for the Canadian economy longer than the old applicants.

thanks harry for the reply. I got my IELTS score today, here are the details :

Listening: 6.5
Reading: 8
Writing: 6.5
Speaking: 7
Overall: 7

Seeing at my above score, i just scored less in Listening section and this stands me at total of 14 out of 16 points.

Now my query - Based on my experience (5 years +), age (26), education (bachelor degree) and IELTS score (as above), i would be able to score 65 points in total. I don't have any other option like AEO or marriage (since i'm single) wherein i could get additional points. So what would you suggest should i give IELTS test once again to achieve 67 points in total ? or do you've any other suggestion ?

Please suggest me on this.

Dear Nitin,

Honestly improving IELTS score is your best take at present. In the coming changes you will be able to score more with the same IELTS score. Trates people will be able to score full points with less IELTS score. I would suggest you to wait for the new rules to pop up and make plans accordingly.

hey harry

thanx for your valuable inputs....i wanna know if this credential assessment will aply to cook n chef as well???

with ur exp wat u think how much % chance if these noc's to be on the list

3) PCC should be from visa office or people on this forum were talking about other one as well??

thanx

Dear Crook,

Cook or Chef is an unregulated profession in most of the Canadian provinces. In case a credential assessment is required in future for these professions, it wont be a big hurdle.

Cook and Chef have been on earlier priority lists aswell as there is a good demand for these professions in Canada. I believe that still we have 80 % chance to be in.

Crook please clarify your third question friend.

thanks harry for the reply !

As per your comments, my IELTS score is more than enough to earn maximum points (if news rules get implemented in July, 2012). But I was wondering if in case situations don't get changed and IELTS scores remain the same as previous year, then i would be in trouble and would definitely need to give IELTS test again (which will delay my application).

Moreover, i was referring next IELTS dates and GT seats are available for June 30 (till then no dates are available). I was thinking to apply once again for IELTS and should not waste time to wait for July changes. If in case my above score get accepted and i get qualified for immigration, then i would definitely send this score and can start my application process. This is my opinion, would definitely like to hear from you on this.

And i apologize for asking too much. Hope you don't mind !!

Please don't apologize friend. You are more than welcome and would like to help in every possible way.

I just wanted to save some of your money. Even if the rules remain same,( which i think wont happen ) you will have time to organize documents because these NOC's dont get filled easily. According to your scores it will be a cakewalk for you to get 7.5 in listening. You can gather all other documents by the time.

Dear friends, i can personaly call you in case you have any doubt about the application process. Just message me your number and we will try to workout the confusions.
