There is no income requirement for spousal sponsorship. that being said, you still will need to show proof of a plan on how you will support your spouse once they arrive in Canada.

Edit* you also have to send in the option C print out from your taxes. If you do not have one to send it says to add an additional letter explaining why.

Thank You, I am sending options c printouts, but do i need to select yes or no for question 19 (checkmark - selection?). I do not have any co-signer also i selected yes for question 17 (options c's)

for question 18 , i am sending letter from employer(whoch shows contract) also last 6 months bank statements, are those sufficient?
it says 12 months preceding the application -income?

Please let me know.

Hello:

the list you are talking about is a check list to make sure all required documents are enclosed with your application, it is like a reminder for you and makes it easier to asses once it reaches Mississauga.

You will check off all the boxes to confirm you are sending those documents. If there are any that you are not sending or that do not apply to you then you can write N/A beside the check box. That will let them know that is it not a forgotten document.

What I did for the income in the last 12 months was tally up all my pay stubs from December 11 to December 12(that is when I sent my application). I am not sure why they ask but I assume it is for those who apply before/after tax time and do not have the most recent option C.

Hope this helps!

I didn't send the actual pay stubs in at all. I just added the amount from all of them, wrote that down on the forms. Then in my letter included a brief explanation of the total. (I have 4 different jobs and just started a new on 2 months prior to applying so it could have gotten a bit confusing.)

Ok thanks so much. I will not send mine also. Same with my case. I do not have 5 years of employment history in last 5 years , only 2 years and the rest studies . I am writing those 2 years of employment history. Is that enough

If that is all you have then it will have to be enough! You said that you are currently working and that you are also looking for better employment. Add to that your wife will be able to work on arrival. I do not htink you need to be overly concerned in regards to income.

Hope you have a speedy process!
