Checking account funds - Can we show as PoF?

Guys,

Can we show the CAD checking account funds as PoF??
I have around 10K in my checking account as of date but if we go back to 6 months, its not 10K.

Is it that the same amount should be available from last 6 months ??
I use my checking account for all my day to day transactions etc..

this is probably one of the best things you can do. Showing you have the money over this period and using the account shows it is your money. Just be sure you can top up the amount to the minimum required amount or higher before submitting with ITA dox.

My query is that I dont have the money over 6 months. I have it now.
Plus, I need to show this in combination of other Fdeposits..

No one would expect this amount if money to be kept in a chequing account. You can show as many different accounts and fixed deposits as long as they are yours or your partner's who is part of your application.

I have the same situation, didn't have the amount of money (12K) sitting my chequeing account for 6 months or more. I might gather that amount prior to applying online. Would that be ok?

I think you can have the required money in the most recent statement, but not some previous ones. The purpose of PoF is to make sure you have enough money when you land.

The point of 6 month of statement is to make sure we don't borrow money for the purpose of proof of fund. If you have constant in flow of fund (e.g. payroll) the description should explain it. If you have some unexplained and large credit to your account, CIC might want some explanation.

I have 4 bank account in Canada, and my partner 3.
Totally around 25k CAD

We are not including 6 month statements. - Only including print outs from Bank accounts.
Our work permits expired in November.
