My fees are around 7-8k on average per term. But Graduate fees are less than that. Its cheaper but MUN is the cheapest of all. if you graduate you will be elligible for PR without the work Experience but offer is needed and you will get time for that part time hours are also counted. There are only 150 quota for this type of students graduating only from u of regina and u of s. Saskatchewan is a developing province. Cost of living is less than Toronto I heard. Its true that the freezing time and severity is more than other places in Canada but the severity last only for one week or two. Jobs are available and totally depends on individual skill.Part time job availability is less. PNP process is slow in each province . It takes around 6- 8 months I guess.
Thanks Dipta,... you are helping me a lot...What is MUN so if we graduate from MUN w can get pr on showing offe letter without work exp???? is yhis Memorial Univerity of Newfounded land??? is this MUN??

MUN is memorial university of Newfoundland. MUN has the lowest fees in Canada for most courses. But the negative side is you cannot apply through PNP as they don't have any PNP last I heard. So you have to apply PR through CEC.

Hi all,

Please anyone can tell me about any public university offering Masters in Accountancy or Finance.... It should be good yet cheaper.... and if its a 2 years course will be wonderful!!!

Best regards
What is your budget? What is considered cheap for you?

You have three options:

1- Master of Financial Management (MFM) at the University of Alberta (Calgary Campus). Entry requirements are a bit relaxed and the program would cost you around $30k.

2- MBA at Memorial University of NewFoundland which will cost you $6,000 for the whole program.

3- Victoria Island University offers a dual MBA degree (you get an additional degree from the UK) and the total tuition and fees I believe are in the $25k range.

Good luck!!

Our Budget is 12000$-15000$

yes Memorial University is offering MBA in 6000$ for whole Program.. so more people must be applying there!!

I am not sure about Alberta criteria but what i feel its a bit tough?? but 30k is much for us.... 3 days ago i send Memorial University an email.. and they replied back... i think it is the only University offering cheapest of all!!!

But MBA at Memorial Univesity is general with no Major...... But do u guys think that MBA will help an accountant getting a job as an accountant or management and general accountatnt on the Basis of Education??? or any professional job???

hello dear members,

I have some queries and some fears....plz help and advice me. not only u but anyone can give me guidance on my questions.

my brief intro
im from Pakistan, done BS 4 years, MBA 2 years....currently working. married and 1 kid of 2 years age. wife is practicing MBBS doctor. I m planning to immigrate to Canada and settle there. I have been into hassle of FSWP sicne 2011...in 2011 time got lost due to preparation of papers....in 2012 they paused the immigration.....in 2013 again due to requirements like credential assessment, spouse ielts....etc....cap is filled for 2174. in next year I m hearing that may be occupation list gona revise and they will open up more medical fields which they didn't included in 2013, and close down IT fields.....but time will tell. since trying from 2011....I m somewhat disappointed in FSWP option. I m considering student visa option as my plan was to get masters or phd from there (whether if I was moved on FSWP), and then apply under many available options for international graduates.

now...considering a family with me....2 dependents (wife gona work after getting work permit and all other requirements)...

question 1.....which city will be cheaper to live in for day to day cost of living? I don't want to get stuck in Nunavut or northern territories due to extreme temperatures?

question 2....should I go for university or private colleges? like some colleges are affiliated with universities.

question 3.....as I m not a rich person, I am looking for affordable education....which cities are considered affordable for international graduates?

question 4.....I have searched on internet that Memorial University in Newfoundland is considered extremely affordable for studies (it was like CAD 6000 for an entire masters course of 2 years!)....how about that? and is Newfoundland an affordable place to live in? is it a good match for affordable living & studying?

question 5....how much it will cost in one year (living+study) including all other expenses for family of 3 on an average?

question 6....if I chose newfoundland, get work permit after 6-8 months...is it good place to get work outside and easily during studying? st john city is quite small but have huge research, oil & gas industries, ocean related industry.....how easily one can get work there? is it good place to settle down in Canada after PR?

ok that's it, I m thanking you everyone for considering my queries and replying them. please guide me and advice me if I can have other good choices and options for immigration, studying and living.

regards.

Hi Farhan,

Everything coe with some pro and corns..... I think MUN is good though i am also struggling for apply next year..... This year my visa is refused so i transfer my admission of college to next year and also planning my wife to apply in MUN.... yes study is the cheapest and coming under the Participating institute..... Mostly newbrunswick, NL they have cheap residence to live.... I got admission in NB college... and in whole NB i fee like Moncton and Fredericton are best cities to live while in NL... you have to think on simple thing u need PR? and u do not have much money? i think this is the ebst choice in your case.... But my advice to you is do not apply together for ur family.... it will help u for 2 things.....
If u show u are traveling alone and will come back after studies.... you can show strong home ties at the time of applying..... and u can show ur wife job in Pakistan... which will show that in case you are outside u can manage ur family expense.....!!! you can apply for your wife and son after completing ur 1st term in University..!!!!

The following link shows the list of Participating institute which signs the memorandum with Govt and while studying n these institutes you wil be able to get Post graduation work permit and they are public post secondary institutes which will help getting PR!!!!!

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/institutions/participants.asp

mostly the province which is having low fees also have low rents for living.... Standard of all public universities are same the only thing why fees is low because they have to capture international as well as local people so the only thing which they can do is to offer them cheap tuitions!!!...

thanks a lot Nadeem Jee, many of my queries and fears are solved now. thanks for the answer.

one more thing just to discuss, I m living in Karachi alone with my family, really cant leave them alone on their own for like one year. I have no relatives to take care of them. I was thinking to take them with me. do you think immigration people will object on that? I have a flat in Karachi on my name and my own small personal business of real estate....if I show them will this wont be enough to satisfy them? also i can show them on my company letter head that i m going on an educational leave so that my job will not be terminated but i have to join back after that.

plus I have funds of about 20lacs rupees, i have to show them all funds or just the required ones? some one told me not to show the extra funds, just uni fees and expenses, cos if u show extra funds they might think we can afford to live there on long terms and wont return back, is it something like that? or is it fine? also can i bring all funds with me? again the same question, they might think why i m bringing in so many funds with me or not?will it create any problem for me?

thanks and jazakallah for your time.

regards.

Hi farhan Bro,

What i know the more you show fund the more +ve impact.... About taking a family with you i can feel ur concern....... But it has happened with me.. I am living i UAE my wife is totally alone after me and this country is nothing if u do not have ur partner with u.. so we decided to go togather.. but think from Visa officer point of you..... You show ur job offer?? it is papper based but actual home ties are ur closed ones..... bro.... I can understand... life partner can live apart... but bro i do not want u to experience the same... if u and ur wife have adopted a track..... better to think on those lines..... If u will apply with ur wife and shows ur offer letter and ur job here.... they will also think that u gona settle there because ur major home ties are going with u.. so the rejection point they will give....

I am not satisfied that they will come back after finishing the studies and i showed 52000$ and u can convert and if me and my wie live inn nb our total expense was 33000$ for 2 years without doing anything. I do no have even a child....

But u never know some people applied with their wife and they get... but what i feel they were not Pakistani... and they also seek it Nationality wise as most of the pakistani are practicing this so may be they do not want their family to go there...

and for the course better 2 choose a course for 2 years which will fetch a 3 years post graduation work permit......!! What i suggest apply alone.. and ur home ties will be strong..... Show funds as much as u could because u know they also see that u are going for studies and ur family will be here then who will take care? if they feel u will not be eligible to support them while u study there comes a question mark in their mind...

so according to me better show ur appointment letter showing u will join after finishing studies and also show ur wife job which will show them during ur absence there will be no problem in regards of money.......

because otherwise they will think u are going there for a job...... in this way you can show strong home ties and also that u can manage expenses... after finishing ur 1st term when u apply for off campus work permit apply an open work permit for ur wife and trv for ur child..... it will work!!!!

but this is a suggestion.... choice is urs.... there are cases who get visa for all at once but they were not Pakistanis!!!!

that is quite a lot of usable information, thanks.

my wife is from bangladesh, she is bangladeshi national and don't have any relatives or family members here in Pakistan. my parents and siblings live in Kuwait and no one here currently in pakistan. so if I show this to immigration people that my wife will be all alone with a kid of 2 years of age with no family and relatives....will they consider it? any suggestions.

brother I m thinking to approach some immigration consultants in order to get professional advice and help.....what do u think about it? Amir Ismail Associates are recognized by Canadian Immigration and is listed on their website as in good standings. it has office in Karachi and Toronto. I have searched and got very positive reviews about him. so I was thinking to approach him in my case as he is professional and may be these guys know techniques and things which might help me workout in my case.

also I was thinking, it might be helpful to me when after studies I will be applying for PR, I will be needing some consultant services who knows the laws and techniques to tackle the tricky issues of immigration.

what do you suggest me about it?
