I think it really depends on your skill set and no. of years of experience
If you have good skill set and good experience and your prospective employer in Canada is genuine and is offering you a decent pay, you should get a positive response.
If its a low skilled job then it can be negative.
Either ways, based on my experience, Work Permits are not taking long these days. Max. of 3 months

Hi, I am also in the same situation, i applied in Dec 16 2013, till date no update, last week they call my current employer for verification. I dont know how long its gonna take

Hi my name is D Patel. I got positive LMO for Alberta. I have some questions.

how long it will take to get approval of my application, medical and stamping get done?
What is the process for stamping, do I have to go to the Delhi high commission in person or I have to sent my passport via post to visa office in Delhi?
If I have to go to the Delhi then my passport gets stamped on the same day and I can collect it or I have to do submission of my passport and come back and wait for them to send it back to me?
