Just received my passports today after a long long wait with the MAPLE LEAF
And the best part is the doctor has given my wife fitness certificate ( extended perod ) as everything is normal.
Will be going on the 24th

Congratulations. How did you receive your passport in Kwt. Was it through Embassy (in Abu Dhabi/Kwt) or directly from London by courier (which company?). Did you send CHC prepaid courier invoice? How much they charge.

if this is correct , then would't it be poosible that they exceeds the six weeks without notifying the applicant?!!! ( as of my case ). does this mean that i shouldn't expect the status of my application to change comming week?? all my plan depends on receiving my passports with Visa inshalla. the best time for me to land is within June... so this makes it very difficult to make the reservations as it getting more difficult and more expensive. another question... does anyone knows what is the minimum time i have to stay in Canada to finish all formalities and get the PR card ? please share your knowlede and let me know a link to any thread that may contain such information. thanks for help.

Thanks BAHCAD and G2009
After the completion of 6 weeks I repeatedly emailed then and even send a relative in person with an authorisation letter to pick up my passports but they refused, but they mentioned that they will despatch within in two days but nothing happened. Again I send them an email mentionig strongly that I need my PP's irrespective of the visa issuance. Then they repiled saying that it could be collected by the person under special case request.
lots off ups and downs but seems to be smooth now
They had mentioned that will despatch to AbuDhabi on the 19th May so hopefully many of the guys should expect their passports by this week

I think you should email them and mention that it has been more than 6 weeks and you need your PP's.

The ecas is changed to DECISION MADE today. Passport sent to Dubai on 20/5/11. Thank God.
