Hi All,

I'm finding it really difficult to understand that why do we have to send notarised copy of certain documents when you can send original when it is a cheaper option than to get the documents notarised. (I understand that you would not get your original back).

I find it really expensive in UK to get all the photocopied documents notarised. (i.e. £40 per document). It's a reap off.

CHC, London has mentioned clearly that - Do not send originals unless otherwise stated and asked to send notarized photocopies of all documents except the police certificates, which must be originals.

Can anyone please advise me what to do? I understand that final resort is to get notary done but is there any alternate to this?

Many Thanks

Tell me about, I just sent all my documents and spent a total of 700 pounds for all of them.
It is a rip off but if it gets me to Canada, it is worth it.

well, that's unfortunate but u have no option unless u r willing to take some risk like me. i spent only £10 for my notary. i sent all original docs by post to my hom country which is Bangladesh. my dear father took them to the local notary public & got it notarised. it cost us (me & my wife's documents) around 1,500 Bangladeshi Taka which is equivalent to £10 or £15. then my dear father courieredme all the original & notarised documents. i had to wait 10 days for the whole process but still i saved few hundreds pound & my notarised docs so far are ok.....

hope it helps...

That's a good option. Where are you from Shibleed? I mean where do you live currently.

It cost us five british pounds for each document to be signed by a local lawyer. It came to 90gbp in total. Im m sure it will all be worth it in the end ;0),good luck to all. :D

I am from London too. I believe that your almost at final stage now and fingures crossed.

Cheers

Hi Smiler 11,

You managed to get notarised documents in £5 per copy, that is way cheap. Where are you from? If your in london, is there any way you can pass me the solicitor details please?

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Cheers

yup, fingers crossed (in fact a very big cross as it is London CHC, u never know when ur application process will finish). if u r sending full docs to London, make sure u send RPRF with it, it does speed up the process.

good luck.....

Does anyone know reasonably cheap Notary public, please pass their details?

I'm kind of lost with this thread.

I got all my documents notarised at a public court by a Justice, total cost = £0 (free).
I am also in the UK.
Where are you guys...UK?

Current application status - 'In Process'.

Hi Jadwig,

I'm from Uk too. Are you talking about true copy of original or Notary? If it is notary, where did you go?

Please let me know.

Cheers
