Hello everyone,

Very new to this forum and hoping to get help and insight in this tedious matter.

I'm going to apply for my husband's sponsorship. We've been married for 4 years and have a 3 year old daughter. My husband applied for Visitor Visa from Pakistan when I was due with our first baby but the lawyer he used in Pakistan was a fraud and because of his misrepresentation, there was a 2 year ban that was applied to my husband's visa. His ban was lifted in March 2015, therefore we are now trying to apply. Could someone please help me find a good immigration lawyer? Someone they've dealt with in the past or currently?

Also, is there a way to apply from another country? Since Pakistani timeline is now 42 months. My husband has a 1 year work visa to France. Can he apply through that visa office?

It's been so long and I really need to start my family's life together. Please help anyway you can. Much appreciated.

Are you guys able to read and understand the forms and the guide? If yes, why are you using a lawyer to apply for a visit visa anyway?
The guide already explains in detail ALL the forms, info, documents required, so I don't know why you would hire and use a dimwit lawyer. Even when using a lawyer, one should remain on the top of things and get copy of everything used.
Trying to think oh lets use a lawyer shayad easy hojaiga is wrong mentality of Pakistanis and needs to be changed.
EVERYTHING is available on CIC website, use that for reference.

If he is living/working in France, he can apply through VFS Paris. Be prepared to mention previous refusal, and include a letter saying the misrepresentation was done by previously hired "lawyer". Details of employment as well as bank statements, etc would be necessary. Just having a work visa does not mean anything if he is in Pakistan and/or unemployed.

If you're a Canadian PR or Citizen, sponsorship is the best course. If they transfer his file to Paris he can get PR within a year or so.
Not sure why you only focusing on visitor visas. Apply for sponsorship as well. (you can do both).

Congratulations!, she can bring as much money she likes. But, as per Pakistani laws, she could carry maximum US$ 5,000 and as per International law maximum US$ 10,000 in cash. So, rest she can bring in shape of Demand Draft or traveller's cheques / bonds etc. She need to fill B4 form and has to declare her goods to carry with her and goods to follow. She did not clarify if i passed or not but gave back passport and said she will decide in one month when she goes back to london. She gave back some documents but she kept police certificate(first time given on interview), photocopies of our both passports, money transfers, some ruqsti pictures, 4 passport size photos. Does that mean she rejected my case?

I would say she has approved the case but there are few thing she would like to be sure or may be the background / security checks are still in progress, that is why she did not give you the visa on spot. So, be positive and pray a lot.

Salam, I would not think that she approved or disapproved your case. You mentioned that this was the first time that the police clearance certificate was given so I would think that this must be completed before they approve anything. Once the back ground check is done which can take from 2 weeks to 2 months and all your other things are completed like a medical exam then she can give a better answer. Never think its done until they ask for the Pass Port , I pray all goes well for you both In Sha Allah.....
