Hello Everyone,

So recently i was in touch with my MP to find out where my file is. I applied in Feb 2012 and my file was transferred in June 2012 to ISB. My MP forwarded the E-mail to me which he received from ISB. The Email says,

"This application is currently in active processing and is in queue to be reviewed by an immigration officer"

However, my ECAS is not updated, it only says application received and my wife in PAK haven't received any Letter or anything. Anyone know what this means? whether my application is in stage 2 or is it still stuck?

Well id say its stuck in stage 2. because the file wouldnt have been transferred if you were still in stage 1.. did it go to Ottawa at first? IF it did, then i have heard the only send it to Isl for PPR - so maybe a good news for you soon. I hope you get out of it soon.

Yes, it means your application is in stage 2 and they haven't opened it yet...

No my letter said, its being transferred to Islamabad. Do you know how long would it take if its in stage 2?

Well id say its stuck in stage 2. because the file wouldnt have been transferred if you were still in stage 1.. did it go to Ottawa at first? IF it did, then i have heard the only send it to Isl for PPR - so maybe a good news for you soon. I hope you get out of it soon.

Don't we all wish that we knew. We really don't know. My letter also said Islamabad but my file is sitting in Ottawa.. so don't trust the letter.

On a brighter note, I noticed 2010 and 2011 lot are getting there PPRs.. majority of them turned "in-process" this month. This could possibly mean that the backlog in ISB is finally cleared and inshaAllah, Allah willingly our files will be transferred to ISB soon . Let's all pray together inshaAllah whatever happens..happens for the best for all of us.

Don't we all wish that we knew. We really don't know. My letter also said Islamabad but my file is sitting in Ottawa.. so don't trust the letter.

they lie to you. how do you know your file is in Isl, like you asked your MP? If you are just relying on the stage 1 approval letter then id say you shouldnt. They told me my file went to Isl but after emailing Ottawa I found out its in Ottawa not Isl. Anyways now your file is in Isl so dont worry.

The only reason i know is because the email came from Islamabad, so i am guessing the file is there. However, i am not fully trusting as i am hearing alot of different stories.

Do not worry too much where your file is or why they don't contact you, these stupid chc ppl just take their damn sweet time. Just pray Inshallah after 16 months of the date you applied you will be showered with good news one after another.. I started stressing out from the day I filed my husband application but now I regret for even thinking to expect something within months. Just wait for at least one year without even thinking about it..

I understand exactly how you guys feel and I am still waiting just like you ppl but I am sure that I have passed that hard stage where you guys are struggling now. All of us 2011 applicants are getting status update and ppr. Just consider it like a long journey and have patience!

If previously my status (the sponsor) stated "decision made", but now.....after all the ecas not working business, it says "in process"....should I be smiling or concerned? That is, if a decision was made....why would it be in process....shouldn't the Permanent residence status change to "in-process"?

I have question that on my Nikha ceremony was in court and we didn't take photo of Nikha forms signing but we have our Valima Photos which was we take after 2 months so valima photo is enough for proof also we have other photos with together so its enough for us for proof. pls help for this.
