They received my application on March 16 too. I only called them once to inquire about the status of my application. I don't know the nature of the delay. Have you sponsored anyone else before or being sponsored yourself? There were new regulations that came into effect targeting people in those situations.

Yea, the agent confirmed all my details and that application was received March 16, 2012. She also said that my application is not started on yet. I am so confused and scared. I have included option C, signed all sheets. Got it reviewed by my MP's office before submitting lol.
Did you call CPC-M everyday to get on their case, thats the only thing that comes in mind which might bring out my application from under the pile.

lol..well said :D

A call center agents opininon changes every 10 min or so. One should not start to believe in what they say without solid proofs. However that being said, it never hurts to dream. Go on ahead "ottawa applications" it is. :D

Nope never sponsore anyone before and was never sponsored before. By the way, are you sponsoring husband or wife and also how did you get the notification of your approval as a sponsor?

I'm sponsoring my wife. My Ecas status changed to "Decision Made" and four days letter I received my approval letter.

Inshallah this week will bring with it good news to me. I can't explain the delay myself.

I wonder if cic/chc, will approve a lucky applicants file within 12 months. Instead of the typical 16-26month procedure. Its just a thought, who knows change may be around the corner. 8)

I think we should start up a pool and make some friendly wagers as to who will get approved in what time frame. Would really make the long wait a lot more fun :D

I can see number of threads growing so for sure we need a pool LOL

Also, I can see this thread will have 1000 pages at least.

Sorry guys for creating mass confusion... below is the original quote from Optimistic2... as can been noted, the call center agent mentions many new cases are being sent to OTT for processing and if needed then they send file to ISB... i have no idea what that actually means, but reading between the lines, it seems like if it's a full rukhsati with complete documentation, hence "straightforward", and CIC deems no further documentation is required from the applicant, they might just issue the visa without further headaches. Once again, this is MY theory and nothing official.

Optimistic2, if I misunderstood your post, please clarify...
i was speaking to my husband the other day n from wht his mp told him only cases with complications go to ottawa but since optimistic2 case has been approved i m guessin its probably gone to Ottawa to cut down on the workload in ISB...which should b good for ppl in isb too rite..win win for everyone...less files in isb to process....faster work :)

Guys,

I may be way off but Ottawa pilot processing is only for Step 1. They are transfering workload from Misissauga to Ottawa.

People who got approval letter for Step 1, clearly mentions on envelope that it's coming from Ottawa Pilot processing.

I would higly doubt step 2 processing will end up in Ottawa as well. There is no official gazette I could find which says anything baout Ottawa pilot for Islamabad cases.

All regional visa offices must process immigration applications for their respective countries. Even skilled worker fast track application was processed abroad for Pakistan. I think U.K. office was handling it rather than pilot processing in Ottawa.

I may be wrong and wish I am wrong here :)

So, finally I see something on E-Cas that my application has been received on 17th April. A sigh of relief at the very least.

Hi hubby chubby,
I am assuming you are in Quebec so I was wondering if you could clarify Step 1 for me since thats done for you. I mean the CSQ part. My application has been received and it shows on E-cas. Initially i thought CHC-M (or Ottawa) would send me a letter of approval which I would send with the application to MICC and meanwhile the file would be transferred to islamabad.

Or the file is only transfered once MICC also approves? Can you also share your timeline pls? (when you got AOR from CHC-M and when you sent to MICC and their approval and transfer date?)

cheers
