Sorry but that's a very incorrect statement. GCMS doesn't raise any doubts or delay application in any form. The only purpose it serves it to keep the applicant aware of what is happening and prepare/anticipate any paperwork to come. Sadly many immigration consultants ( bogus in my opinon ) advise the same and applicants get delayed responses. If you knew whats going on on your file, you can prepare in advance and frankly has helped lot of people

I ordered 13 notes ( 1 in every 15 days ), it's prepared via Ottawa who simply logs in GCMS and gets a print out - its got nothing to do with process

I understand the benefit and importance of ordering GCMS notes while application is in process. I am neither discouraging anyone not to order GCMS notes nor I am scared to order those myself. There may not be any harm in it but it just does not seem right to me to request a fellow forum member to initiate any procedures when his application has been finalised.

I don't understand the "doesn't seem right" part, can you elaborate on the logic? how does one raise doubts on file? would they cancel the visa coz someone asked for GCMS? thats no different than emailing the office

There is absolutely no issue at all at any stage

I think I already clarified enough in my last post..if someone want to order GCMS notes for his/her own file, no problem, order as many times as one wish but to ask and expect another person to do that for them when his process is over, that does not seem right to me atleast.

Folks,

I'm so excited n happy to announce that my wife has FINALLY FINALLY received her passport back with visa.... alhamdulilah!!

It has been a grand total of 23 months since I submitted the application in March 2012....

So glad that the excruciating wait is finally over alhamdulilah.... n I can't wait to b with my wife soon INSHALLAH!

Hopefully this is a positive sign of great things to come.... I'm hoping next week there will b more good news for everyone thats been waiting.... I'm really hoping n praying that we all get reunited with our families soon inshallah..... especially those from 2010/2011.... may this long long test of patience n waiting not go un-noticed in the eyes of Allah n may He bless us n make the rest of our lives with our significant other easier inshallah! Ameen!

Question,

For the Pakistan Supplementary Form, I am a little confused. My husband has had way too many passports issued to him since he was born (all Pakistani) but doesn't have more than half of them.. the lawyer says for travel history mention just the most recent 10 years, he's been to Umrah and Iran, Iraq, Syria like long long time ago (when he was a few months old) but we have no passport to prove that.. what should we do? So confused! Also the passport before his current one was lost/stolen, should we mention that one?
Also as a kid my husband visited Canada in the 90s, but again no passport to prove that with no entry or exit stamps. So confused on what to do :S..the lawyer says only to worry about the recent 10 years.

Any help will be appreciated!

p.s. another point that proves not to hire a lawyer :/ THEY ARE USELESS!

Pertaining to passport that was lost/stolen my husband has also lost his and we sent a copy of his FIR along with his application. Never provide more information than you are asked. And yes lawyers are useless they are only making money they don't help the process if anything I've found because of them their is a delay.

What difference it makes if it is open or close.

They have set their mind for Pakistanis to do nothing just hold and tease applicant in the sake of background checks.

For two years I am watching them they are doing 'BS' in the name of "PROCESSING".

This is too much.................CHC - Islamabad is BIG PAIN.

You need to fill form IMM5744.

point 6: needs signature of applicant.
Point 5: needs signature of sponsor.

Hey guys,

I requested for notes back in December and I got an email today. They have sent me copies of all the forms I had filled out when I applied. I did not get any notes or anything else regarding where my application stands.....


Is that weird? What has happened ?

Hello all,
Please provide your insight to my two inquiries below.

Background- recently married in Pakistan, in the process of completing the application.
-"notarized affidavits attesting to the fact and providing reasons for why you and your sponsor are/were living together without being married or unable to live together altogether"
- I need some insight of what to write in this affidavit, please help.
- "at least two statutory declarations from individuals with personal knowledge of your relationship supporting your claim that the relationship is genuine and continuing"
- shall I ask the wedding witnesses to provide this declarations so CIC can cross reference for validity?
IF someone has a sample of this letter or the affidavit I mentioned above I would very appreciate your help.
