Hi ch.immigration - agree with the first answer but disagree with the second. If applicant is unsure of his UCI, he can leave it blank.

But the UCI (unique client ID) belongs to the person, not the application. So whether a person is applying for PR or TRV or anything it'll remain the same. It's kinda like SIN except for CIC

Hello guys.
I have applied for my immigration recently. I am on a open work permit in Canada. Now I am planning to get married(nikkah only) with my fiance who lives in Pakistan. If I get married (nikkah only) before I get my PR then I can add her to my existing application which is already in the final stages(expecting PR in 2 months time) but if I get my PR for my self alone now. and then get married(nikkah only) and sponsor my wife, I am thinking it would take 31 months. Is the spousal sponsorship process generally 31 months at this time?? Also if I apply for spousal sponsorship do I need a complete marriage like nikkah + rukhsati ?? how does it work ?? What would be your suggestion??

Generally speaking its the other way around. Your case may be an exception....

I dont think so, they asked for my 2nd police certificate first then they asked for remedical.

Husband is PR and applied outland to sponsor his wife. Case is approved and sent to their country VO.
CIC has not contacted the applicant (wife) yet.


a new baby is born, now the question is how to let CIC know abou baby

please answer all following questions one by one:

1. What documents are needed to send ?
2. What forms are need to be updated for baby?
3. Who will upadte and send baby docs and froms : the sponsor(PR holder) or the Applicant(Spous)?[/color]
4. Where to send baby's docs/file? local VO or Missisuaga?
5. Do we need to courier or email the file??

I think the easiest way would be to complete your marriage and add her on to your file. spousal sponsorship will wear you off. it takes anywhere from 14-20 months if its a straight forward case. anyone else might wanna shed some light here.

straight forward as in not a huge age difference, no previous marriages, no kids from previous marriages and stuff like that. I know a baji who only had her nikkah done applied in feb 2010 and then an year later they asked for rukhsati and stuff so she handed in that proof april 2011 and her husband came in june of 2012 .. so rukhsati is always better!
