I also applied for TRV in November 2012 which was before my Rukhsati (took place in Feb 2013) and sent all the relevant documents including a detailed letter from my husband explaining that ours would be a full marriage case with the rukhsati was taking place in Feb and that he wanted to take me with him. Furthermore he also clearly stated that I would go back after my visa time was up as I was living with my parents post nikah and had ties back home. But apparently that was not good enough for them and the visa was rejected. CIC very clearly states on their website that spouses who have applied for immigration can also apply for TRV and if this is part of their policy then why reject such cases.hubby chubby said:I really never understood the requirements of spousal TRV.
Either, they should give it to every spouse to go visit their husband/wife in Canada for a certain time. (6 months for example without extension). Or don't give it at all. The reason being, that a spouse case is such that when you are with your loved one at the desired destination (that is why we applied to immigration), the spouse don't want to leave. Now for example, we try to prove "ties back home" when applying for TRV, (school classes or work in pakistan). However, most spouses would extend their visa beyond the 6 months (obviously because they wanna live with their loved ones). Or lets say they are on TRV and ppr comes, the spouse will rarely go back to finish school or go back to work in pakistan. That is not our goal obviously, we are leaving all that behind to come to Canada. Fact of the matter is, when we apply for TRV we are hoping that our spouse gets visa within the timeline of TRV so he/she never has to go back.
That being said, CHC and Canada should be consistent, don't reject others and accept some. Our goal is the same regardless what we have back home. We just wanna spend time together as much as possible.
problem is people cheat, they say they will return but don't... hence the rejections... if ppl use things proper as in legal terms, we wouldnt be in this mess... sigh...Icemaiden22 said:I also applied for TRV in November 2012 which was before my Rukhsati (took place in Feb 2013) and sent all the relevant documents including a detailed letter from my husband explaining that ours would be a full marriage case with the rukhsati was taking place in Feb and that he wanted to take me with him. Now I'm getting to know that Gerry's ppl are more knowledgeable about TRV than TCS...thats very strange..how would anyone know about something like that when applying?I mean its a pretty standard procedure filling out the relevant forms etc.

can anyone help direct to a guide of applying for a visit visa... is a lawyer in that a good option... and what things need to be sent other than proof of job and invitation letter...
in my opinion , rukhsati was the major issueIcemaiden22 said:I also applied for TRV in November 2012 which was before my Rukhsati (took place in Feb 2013) and sent all the relevant documents including a detailed letter from my husband explaining that ours would be a full marriage case with the rukhsati was taking place in Feb and that he wanted to take me with him. Kindly let us know if the Ottawa people reply u after accepting the Updates ... as u r one of the pioneers who used email to send updates as usually applicants sent updates via normal mail or courier but e-mail is much much better and fast if u get a response back from Ottawa. You should be having a reply in 2 or 3 working days as Ottawa replies fast and in positive way...adv2244 said:I sent my updates via email to ottawa

Waiting for ur response...
Its very important for all our members....
I know someone with a similar case as mine who got the visit visa. As with other things related to Canadian immigration there is no consistency in their processes and everything is very subjective. Its all luck as far as I can tell.beeba-bacha said:in my opinion , rukhsati was the major issue
