CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2012 -2013

If you, the person sponsoring the spouse, is a Permanent Resident then you cannot live in Pakistan while application is going on. However if you are citizen then you can but most people recommend not staying in Pakistan for longer than 3 months as it can raise an objection from CHC that you are not planning to re-settle back in Canada. And they may ask you to provide proof of intention to settle back in Canada which can be letters from family and friends and affidavits or lease of house rent or owning properties in Canada etc

Here is a guide for the members who will be getting remed in the upcoming days/weeks/months InshAllah.

It is recommended or at times requested to chose your MD for the "panel of physicians" for remed (link provided just below)

Cost of remed currently: 5600 rps
Time it takes to do remed (depending on amount of people): 3hrs
No remed if: you don't provide paper proof from CHC ISLAMABAD

For Islamabad IOM remed applicants numbers are the following:

PTCL: +92-51-111-466-472 (they don't pick up this one; usually a busy tone)

Call their mobile numbers listed below, InshAllah someone will answer;

+92 306 292 2575 , +92 307 537 1776 (I believe this one got me through)

What to bring to your remed;

Original passport
money
photos (passport size, white background)
Remed form.
Drink water.

*Now remed is delivered directly to new delhi via email*

*No call from IOM after remed means good news*

*According IOM doctors remed is sent off within 48 hrs*

Actually bro, I can't blame their logic. I've personally since cases, whereby the females citizen live aboard (pakistan) and when it's time to deliver their baby. They come and use Canadian health care (Cause its free and better). However, when Canadian authorities see things such as these, they claim "you pay your taxes and invest your money abroad, but use our services??!!". There are many things I don't agree with CIC, but this one I understand where they are coming from....

Stupid CIC logic, if the sponsor has no intention of going back to canada, why would they have applied for the sponsorship in the first place? They first delay the process and then adding insult to injury they dont allow couples to live together.

Also, how long did it take till they issued your spouse a visitor's visa?

for 6 months
They took 128 days to issue the visa..
