Proofs can be anywhere from all sorts of communication evidence (phone bills, emails, text messages, skype logs), proof of visit (airplane ticket, boarding pass), financial dependency (money transfer receipts), proof of genuine relationship (providing as many pictures as you can with the two of you in them). It is not limited to this but that's your main bet.

Okay guys I just found something out and its not new for the most of you. I just spoke with my lawyer and he said that straight forward cases ARE being sent to Ottawa however with the Buffalo office closed, Ottawa is swamped with files that's why the processing time has increased. He also said any correspondence will happen with Ottawa and not Islamabad. For waiting110 and Naqibee, I confirmed that there is no harm in sending additional proofs, my lawyer said that upon my return he will make another package and send that off. He infact said if you visit your spouse then you "have" to let CHC know.

That doesn't change the fact that we are still in for a long ride. As someone said earlier I think what Ottawa is doing is "OH THEIR TIMELINE IS 26 MONTHS LET'S JUST SIT BACK AND NOT DO ANYTHING".

I met my husband twice since our file submission in Feb 2012; Summer 2012 and then in December 2012.... So in your opion we should send a package to Ottawa ? My husabnds says there is no point as they have not even touched our files yet. confused!

Thankfully we have recieved passport request from CHC-ISL at Pakistan address. However my wife is in Canada with me on visitor visa which is extended till next year. We are not sure if we can send the passport from here or should she travel herself to Pakistan on short notice. Please olks advice who ever has any exprience or knowledge about it.
