Assalaam o alaykum!!!

my case was more or less same like naqibee...i am PR card holder...n on dat basis my husbands case got rejected...cz i was in Pakistan with my husband ((((((
so if u are (Naqibee) a PR card holder...u must must stay in Canada.

i have one question.... As my husbands case got rejected in July 2012...but hvnt got the original documents back...it includes our orignal marriage certificate, educational degrees, birth certificate...etc
How soon will i get the original documents of my husband back???? really worried for the documents...
some one told me that i may not be getting any documents back?? :O
someone knows about it? plz someone help me

No You will get ur original documenta back call the call center and tell them the situation and ask them.
My question is if u r on PR how long you can stay outside of canada? And if ur case is being rejected only on this base can't u go for appeal

Usually they say a PR can go visit his wife or to her husband for 2-3 weeks max.

How do I update my profile with my timeline?

go to profile on the top right and on ur left you will see an option "forum profile information" .. you can add your timeline there.

Thank you for your reply waiting110. Unfortunately I did not see any link to "forum profile information" in my profile settings page. Maybe that option is locked down for newbs :-[ because I can only see the following options.:

Show Stats
Show Posts

Modify Profile
Account Related Settings

Actions
Delete this account

its the 2nd option after "account related settings". But hey keep on posting and eventually this option will open for you

somebody said no more than 3 months. but I want to go so bad already and stay with him until he gets his passport back with visa stamped.

a friend of mine got married in august 2010, came back filed her husband's case. finished her 2nd year in university. went to back to her husband about end of april / start of may 2011 and stayed with him until december and then came back as she was due soon. her husband landed in Canada in may of 2012.

when did u apply? whats ur timeline? yup I applied in october, it says 35 days lets see!

i applied on sep5 n got an email on oct 19 saying v recd ur file on sep 5th. but i didnot get anything saying that i am accepted as sponsor or smting like dat n neitr got anything like file is being sent to islamabad/ ottawa
but wen i go on ecas n click on 'file rcvd' it says Medical recvd for last 2 weeks
