CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2012 -2013

Asalam alaikum!

I have applied for by spouse for sponsorship since 25 july 2011. We received at the end of November an email from CHC Islamabad asking to redo medical, to redo PCC, to file up the background check forms and to provide them the Quebec selection certificate.

Here are my questions,

Is this the last step that they are taking before taking their decision?
How long after receiving those documents they take to make their decision.

MP office advised that case was removed from the interview queue and that our relation was accepted as a genuine relation. Also advise that my husband file is now under background check. Islamabad high commission also advised to contact them back if after 2 months if we do not have any update.


We are now waiting since so long over 34 months, and we would like to know if this waiting time will finish shortly.

Please help us!

Aslam alikium. It will take approx 3 months to complete the back ground check and another 2 to months issue you a visa. Just ask your spouse to check with MP every other 6 weeks.

Thank you for your reply. I do go to the MP office. Last time i went back in march they said that my husband's file was in process of background check and that there was a note in our file that they accepted our relation as a legit relation.
They request us to contact them back if we did not hear from them in the following 2 months. I contacted MP's office again 2 weeks ago because we did not hear back from them. Im still waiting for an answer from them.

I also heard that some files are being transfer to london and that they process the file faster.

Is this only for the newest files?? Can i request that my husband file get transfer there???

I don't know what else i can do to make this nightmare of waiting finishing.

Please make dua for us and tell me what we should do.

After 22mnts my wife got re medical request what's their next step are they gonna issue the visa? Or they have to still background check etc? How long it gonna take visa after medical done? Thx

Thanks for sharing this info. It means once you get remed and need to order notes it should be under the new UCI number, the file number remains the same as the applicant gets his/her own UCI to carry on.

Yes it does. U have to order notes according to new UCI number aftr ur remedical.. otherwise u ll end up like me..

Maybe that is the reason but still they should be able to find your file with File#, just an other excuse to delay our files and create more misery for us. But still some VERY INTELLIGENT people will say it is Pakistani government fault that they cant find your file may be Zardari or Nawaz sharif stole your file ? hahaha

I pray for you that you get the information you need, I also sent email to London almost 3 weeks ago and still no reply. I think it all depend on who first read your Email, if the guy have time and will, he give you the reply quickly or if he is busy or lazy person the email will get buried in thousands of email they must receive every day so it get lost and then chances of reply are almost nil.

Yes it does. U have to order notes according to new UCI number aftr ur remedical.. otherwise u ll end up like me..

Nope ..it's different because I didnt get a remed but I still have my own UCI being an applicant ..and I got it from that request letter they sent me to submit some updated forms,RPRF and Re-PCC in Feb,2014..I got my UCI before a remed and it means any correspondence after AOR can give an applicant his/her own UCI..!

The positive is, you won't be in interview queue.

Though, now a days interview ain't so bad. They take your passport in right away lol

Hello Team,

Just an FYI got a medical request this weekend.

ECAS has been updated to "In Process"

ECAS also says medical recieved when I have not yet sent them anything :$

I am a Aug 2012.

Can anyone tell me when should I recieve PP request? Also my spouse is visiting me in Canada. Do they have to go back or there is anyway we can mail the passport and get the visa so they dont have to go back? Re-entry can be done via US for final processing at airport?
