hi everyone
i need to knw one thing. the number that is written in the emails of cic to contact by fax is 0512086914-14
i called th embassy today to knw abt my passport and asusual i could only talk to the recording. anyways i got the fax number from there, which the recording was communicating and it was 0512279113.
i am confident that i was talking to the write recording (or it was talking to me infact) , it was immigration section recoring and it said the documents to be send for enquiry on visas of permanant resident application should fax the docs on this number.
i am confused if i sent my docs on ryt fax number...
should i send them again on this number 0512279113
have anybody heard of this fax number before?
has anybody used it?


I dont know abt the fax number but what kind of documents are u sending. Did they ask u to submitt some thing

I have the same timeline as yours...its a wife case, I am a professional accountant and have MBA, already got my CGA for Canada while sitting here but havent even gotten a remed request yet...my file got transferred 25th Jan 2012

Please clear if you are Husband (in Canada) and sponsoring your wife (in Pakistan)? or you are wife (in Canada) and sponsoring your husband (in Pakistan)?

Please also let me know (if you are in Pakistan) that how did you get CGA while living in Pakistan)?

Just an update from my side. By the grace of GOD, I've got my PP back yesterday it took almost 2 months after PPR n' the whole process took appx 2 years.

I am the wife and I am being sponsored by my husband who is in Canada. I am ACCA member so I was only required to do Canadian tax and law course online and fill the application for MRA between CGA and ACCA. When the application gets approved you get full CGA membership if you are a ACCA member, have a post grad degree (in my case MBA) or even a under grad degree would do. The only problem is that I will now be member of both bodies and thus will be paying both subscriptions every year.

However, someone else mentioned to me for the pictures that i need to send in 9 pics recently taken within 6 months of me and each family member.
I am confused as to do they mean passport sized pics or actual immigration pics?
In the instructions (Appendix B) it only gives specifications about passport sized pictures.

Size of picture is mostly the same
Some thing you should watch out for is how big your face has to be in the picture
And the color of the background

Also just a reminder
I dont think they are asking for the pictures of your brothers sisters or parents as some of us might think unless there are any kids applying with you its just your pictures

Take the instructions on Appx. B to your photographer. They'll know what to do. They are slightly different from the Pakistani pp size photos.
