Hi Jerry,

In most cases, they do give you a chance to provide more proof of relationship if the immigration officer isn't satisfied with the amount or quality of proof of relationship. They ask you to provide recent pictures, visit info, telephone and text logs etc etc (basically anything that supports your ongoing relationship). A lot depends on the immigration officer as well. Some needs to be convinced more than others.

I always suggest everyone to send more proof after 4-6 months of file transfer if you feel that the proof of relationship might not be sufficient when you submitted the application.

I sent more proof of ongoing relationship along with an updated PCC 6 months after file transfer. When the officer reviewed the case, he/she didn't ask for more proof or PCC, and asked for Re-med and Passport.

Thanks, that helps a lot. Voluntary PCC doesn't create a problem I am assuming? See the thing is I am going through a lawyer and now I regret it. I stayed with my husband for like 2 weeks only and I feel the proof of ongoing relationship will be asked for. So rather than waiting for them to ask, I'd want to sent it voluntarily, you think I should do it even if my lawyer doesn't ask for it?

Voluntary PCC well before the first review isn't a problem at all. But if you send a voluntray PCC after the first review then it might take additional time for the processing as they might want to do another background check based on the updated PCC. Forum members in the past has done so hoping to get Visa sooner and faced even more delay in Visa as it worked against them.

You can send more proof of relationship if you want. Make a cover letter and make a list of all the proof your sending to CHC-Islamabad (keep a copy of the proof with you, just incase if they ask for it again). Make sure that File number is on the cover letter.

Mine was an exceptional case. My wife's Re-med and PPR request was lost in the embassy mail room as my wife never got it. We found out through GCMS and an email reply that they supposedly sent the requests in mid Feb. We asked them to resend it through email and fax several times but didn't get the request till April 27th. My wife got a meidcal appointment for next day and sent the passport with a cover letter to the Visa officer a couple of days after. In the cover letter she mentioned that she has completed her medicals and had to go through a lot for this medical request and PPR and basically retold the whole story in that cover letter. It was very emotional and I guess the Visa officer was nice enough to look for medicals early and stamp the Visa and sent it back in 30 days and compensated us for the time lost due to mail error.

I don't know anyone else who got the Re-med and PPR request and got the Visa in 30 days. The average time is 60-70 days, thats why I said 2-3 months.

It can come by the weekend or it can take 2-3 weeks. Lets hope its sooner than later

MP told my husband my file is with the decision making officer a month back...
decision making officer is the last stage right..
why arent they sending me the ppr

your right they are so rude .. even my consultant i paid him so much he doesn't give a crap about telling me anything its been 13 months my consultant haven't told me a thing about my case and honestly i don't know why i'm paying him so much it sucks now i've decided im not going to ask him anything or anyone Allah will and can only help.

i can feel your pain! my Mp's assistant even said if he should start charging the fee for each enquiry he makes for us... this is bizarre.... but anyways keep faith on Allah and HE Will do the best for us InshaAllah!

the day my husband did the inquiry from the MP that day only i got a call from the embassy that whether i have had my re medical done or not too...
i dont know what to expect... but i want to be with my husband before the year ends ... he cant come before march then

I make an inquiry about my wife's case every 90 days through my MP within 3 to 5 days I receive a reply.
Also try sending them an email from your work place with your title it sure will help.

Last night I called my My Mp from lahore and her office assistant also same rude and useless keep telling me no reply. I Will keep in mind all there behavior untile they come next time on my door for there sign and vote.
But I'm happy these days because atless enjoying with my wife here

yes i have sponsored my husband since 2009 and it is from Afghanistan. Allah knows why his case is taking so long. The MP told me today CHC received medical result on September but they are doing another back ground check up on him. I am worried if it continues like this his 4th time Police clearance will be on January 2013 which i am not looking forward to

bass now i am so impatient and i wish i could do anything else except sending them emails and contacting the MP which i am doing.
