No, you cant scan it and e-mail it to her because she needs to take ORIGINAL documents in when she goes for her appointment.

My wife's letter also came to my rep here in Canada. I had to DHL all the original documents to my wife in Karachi. It got to her within 3 days. In the meantime, she booked an appointment with IOM.

Yes, IOM is the fastest in terms of giving appointments.

thanks bro for your responce but there are no such documents with it it just one page letter asking for remedical that is it but yeh I would not take risk and will send her through fedex express delivery.

how many days after landing at toronto,one gets the PR card.
secondly is it possible that i return back to pakistan without receiving my PR card.can the sponsoring person receive the PR card also?????

plz i need ur answers realy urgent..

I think the rules Changed in Canada now new immigrants will not be given PR card right away like before....
n u can travel wit ur Pakistani Passport but they will give u sooo much trouble tht u will regret goin back to Pakistan...

n u have waited this long to be wit ur spouse n ur alreadi thinking of goin back to Pakistan
buddi once u come here good luck finding a job n paying for your expenses then if ur lucky n have extra money laying around u can go back lolll

The simple rule is that once you land, the PR card is mailed to your address in Canada in 3-4 weeks. You cannot reenter Canada without your PR card.

I know people who came, and had to leave before receiving their PR card, and had their family send it to Pakistan later.

One possibility is if there is any complication in the initial issuing of the PR card. You can resolve these issues over the phone, but if you ever need to come in physically, and tell them that you are out of country, then you will complicate your situtation to such a degree that you will regret ever leaving Canada.

yup u r right.its a risk not worth taking..its better to be there n receive the PR card.i hope its 3-4 weeks.i have heard people waiting 3-4 months and even longer

thanks bhai...yeh you are right IOM is extremely fast interms of giving appointment and it was also mention on my wife's remedical letter to call IOM for appointment instead of any other DMP out there. Yes my wife is in karachi too and I have a question for you that does my wife have to take original remedical letter with her?? as its just a letter with her name and date of birth hand written on it or she can jst take copy with her is that fine??? CHC-I send the letter to my lawyer here as he is our representative and now I have to send letter back to my wife so that she can take it with her but I am just thinking if I should scan it and send it to her via email.

To the best of my knowledge, as soon as you arrive in Canada(pass immigration) you become PR of Canada, After that you can reclaim your entry. i guess you need to submit your copr (confirmation of permanent residence ) paper to respective chc and they should be able to issue some sort of re-entry permit/visa.
Please confirm from cic website..

My wife had similar experience. They called asking for her File # over the phone. But that was it.
