Would any one guide me how to obtain police clearance certificate in lahore. And how long it would take.

Lahore ka to pata nahin albata main app tarika bata sakta hun... embassy nai jo letter send kiya hai app ko usay lay kar apnai area k police station main jayen wahan headmoaror ya SHO ko app apna letter dekhain jo dox required hun gy for the process of PCC wo app follow karain Inshallah you will get soon your PCC in out of coming days after submition of all required dox and that will be valid for 6 months especially in karachi.

Just to add a bit more, make sure you provide the certificates from all districts. For Example, if you have lived at two different address in Lahore you will need one certificate from each district (police station of each area).

Anyways, no more PPRs? sounds like people closer to my timeline are all recving their rePCC reqsts now....I know PCC expires in 6 months so does that mean our cases will be cleared within next 6 months?

Yeah hopefully! My wife submitted hers in early March, and just received remedical last weeks so hopefully she gets the PPR sometime in June

Normally the background checks start right after the initial review. However, when they ask to resubmit all that information after 9-12 months, they just want to get the updated information and if they see more updates whether its regarding traveling, or being in the army, or held any government position etc. the background check is done again.

wes bhai or anyone else- when they asked for updated PCC we sent one from jhelum which we didn't send initially because my husband moved there after we sent our documents. Will this mean that they are going to have to do background checks again because he moved there and we sent the PCC this time but not first time around?

Background check starts shortly after the application was logged in and is conducted parallel to application consideration without applicant's participation.
There is no set timeframe for background check. Its duration can be affected by such factors as military service, foreign trips, membership in political organizations. It takes as much time as it requires.

2nd background check depend on 2 points. (1) If the initial background check was done and CLEARED with no black spot than most likely with the new PCC most likely another complete background check is not required even a person move from one district to another within same city. If a person relocate to a different geographic region or country than YES another full background check will be conducted.

(2) When re-filling IMM forms if the new information is same as initial application information;for example: one was student at that time and still a student with the same school at present time OR one was doing a job with the same company at that time and still with the same company than basically there is no change in your status. So no background check, however; If there is a change in between initial information and re-IMM form information than can expect the re-background check.

Its up to the officer as how deep he want to have the background check and he make his mind base on above points.

I think your husband will be receiving PPR shortly InshAllah. Its been one and half months since remedical and hopefully they realease his PPR soon. I am hoping by mid June he will receive it

Bro m from lahore and have got PCC many times (I guess at least 5 times )
The clean n systematic way is as follows:
1- Have copies of ur Passport and CNIC
2- Reach CCPO office Lahore adjacent to Lahore Secretariat office in-front of Islamia College Civil lines & Go to Character Certificate room (ask guys at reception and no need of any agent)
3- Fill out the character certificate request forms (There would be 2 forms) try to keep things as simple as possible and submit with Passport & CNIC copy.
4- They would give you a date to come back with a small slip (usually 5 days from the date of submission)
5- After a day or 2 you would be contacted by your area Police station for verification. Request them to send it asap
6- Then reach at CCPO office again on given date or a day earlier with that slip
7- They would give you a printed certificate to verify for any errors or typos
8- when u wud confirm that they would ask for your orginal Passport and would ask you to wait till SAAB (CCPO) call for signatures
9- CCPO calls for signs twice a day and once u give him an appearance. he would sign your certificate.
10- After you get that it would be very hot so get a glass of cold chaati ki lassi from a hawker outside

This is the 0 cost and fair systematic way of getting a PCC without any refrence. (The cost of Lassi is not included)
I got ma PCC in 3 days just by requesting to send the post asap. Let me know if you need any more help
