My wife is living in Calgary, Canada. She submitted my documents in 2010.I received a letter from the CHC Islamabad on March 02, 2010, that they start processing my application.After a year later on March 08, 2011 they informed me in the reply of my email that
"My application is currently in process and is in queue for review. Background checks are over for this application".

After the last email on March 08, 2011. I have not received any email from CHC Islamabad.
Do anyone tell me that what's the next process?
How much more time does CHC Islamabad take?

hi cool person..if ur background checks r over it shouldnt take that long now.. the next step would probably be re-med/re-pcc and then ppr.. since they have already done background check..

Dear brother if your medical exam is expired they will issue you remedical Police Clearance Certificates some times Passport Request with remedical they process every case spratly so wait and pray for Allah after background checks it wont get so long Inshallah keep hope and praying

thats so sweet n nice of u to come back to this forum even if ur husband is landed.. i feel really good to hear that cuz the other day i was tlaking a memeber of this forum that all the old people have disappreared n new people r here.. so like the old ppl prolly got their visas n they dont come eny more.

Hey every1, i have a question in relation to visas on the passport, i have sponsored my wife and we were planning to go to iran/iraq. so will having an irani/iraqi visa in the passport effect her chances to get immigration???

It should be over soon for you, since background checks are done, next will be remedical and PPR together hopefully...

May, 2009: case apply in ca.
Sep, 2009: AOR received in Pak.
Oct, 2009: Reply of AOR.
Jan, 2010: RPRF Required
Feb, 2010: Reply of RPRF.
31, Jan, 2011: IMM8, Schedule-1, IMM5406, Supplementary Info. with re-PCC.
11, March, 2011: Reply of IMM8, Schedule-1, IMM5406, Supplementary Info. with re-PCC.

now waiting for next step....

app ko wo letter send karain gay jis main imm forms & re-pcc ho ga ye main is liye keh raha hun cuz is forum main mojod ziyada tar logon ko yehi reply aya hai, if i'm not wrong
baqi Allah sab khair kary ga Ameen and hopefully embassy app ko jaldi letter bejhy ge Inshallah

Salam baigt, well I don't think visiting iran/iraq would effect your case unless you spend more than 6 months there. If you do visit for more than 6 months make sure you bring back Police Clearnce Certificate with you because CHC-I will ask for that later. If its just a normal visit, you shouldn't worry about it too much.

Koi Karachi main gathering kare to hamein zaror batai (june k month main). One of my friend from Toronto is getting married in June 25 in Karachi, I just told him to get ready to wait nearly 2 years for your wife to get the visa, he was very dishearted.

Assalamualaikum folks,

A friend of mine got in touch with the media regarding the ridiculously long spousal visa processing times at CHC-Islamabad. He got a positive response from CBC, who have assigned the renowned journalist Muhammad Lila to this potential story. Muhammad got in touch with my friend and asked him if he could get a number of people who're going through this ordeal and set up a meeting with him. So far there are three of us who are taking the lead on this initiative, but obviously, having a larger group of people will send a much stronger message i.e. the delays are not isolated, but widespread.
I should add a disclaimer that this would most likely NOT affect our cases in a positive way since most of us are a year or more into the process anyway and the process won't change overnight. But the hope is, inshaAllah, that this will bring the issue to light and hopefully prompt the ministry to take action to improve the process for future cases.
So, I'm looking for people who might be interested in taking part in this initiative -- preferably those from the GTA area, but others are welcome too. What we're planning to do is to gather a decent-sized group and set up a meeting with Muhammad Lila in a couple of weeks. I see this forum as the perfect place to get this kind of support. Although I'm a relatively new "member", I've been following this thread for a while now and am impressed by people's attitude and resolve.

If you're interested, please send me an email at m@hameeds.net (I still haven't figured out the Inbox thing here) with your name and rough location. Once we have a few people, we'll get in touch with Muhammad and try to organize the meeting. We're hoping to get around 20 - 30 people inshaAllah.
