Waslam Bro,
I am not sure about business opportunities but for job Alberta’s economy is booming like anything recently one of my friend moved here and he got job(field one) in 15 days and salary he is getting one can only imagine in dreams(atleast for 2 years) if living somewhere else.
And if you are lucky enough and get a chance in energy sector (Oil & Gas) you can start with some good bucks. There are pros and cons everywhere. Life in Alberta is not that happening or lively as compare to Toronto or Vancouver like you won’t find much Desi happening but if you career oriented then consider moving to Alberta.
Here is a short review of major cities in Canada:
Montreal: Big metropolitan city with lots of opportunities. A big bilingual problem, very much impossible to accommodate here.
Toronto: Again a big metropolitan city with lots of opportunities but very saturated market and very less opportunities for new comers.
Vancouver: Another big city with lots of happening. Very expensive living and good for well settled Canadians.
Calgary: Most happening city in Alberta. More colder than east cost. Good job opportunities.
Edmonton: Commonly called “Deadmonton”. Cold place. Good place to start your career with but not good for any social happening.
Regina: Haven’t heard anything bad but heard place is also very cold. Good opportunities and social happening is very limited.
