I wrote to ISB CHC last night and received the following email:

Dear Ms. *******

This is in response to your e-mail to the Head of Mission regarding your husband's application for permanent residence in Canada.

We endeavour to adhere to first in, first out commitment of our department. Unless there are serious and compelling reasons to pull an application from the normal processing queue, we tend to maintain this service commitment.

As a department, it is our goal, in 80% of overseas applications, to make a final decision within 12 months from the time the application is received at the Mississauga Case Processing Centre. This is the service standard for cases within normal circumstances. The need for an in-person interview, verification of documents, investigation of the sponsor, DNA testing or site visits do not constitute "normal circumstances" and the processing time often exceed the 12 month service standard.

Your husband's application was received at our office on March 2010. There are certain concerns with the application that cannot be assessed or addressed without an in-person interview with your spouse.
We are not able to give an exact date for the interview, however, we can safely say that the interview will take place within the next three months. In the meantime, if you wish to provide any further documents to support your spousal relationship, you are welcome to do so. This is help us in assessing the relationship in its entirety.

Your patience is appreciated,

Regards,

going forward you should send a dozen short emails from your official email to his email and have him respond to your mails, make phone calls during your breaks regularly and better not use Calling Cards because you dont have any call history with that, if your husband is calling you using pre-paid service, you can still get his outgoing call history to your number by paying $50 dollars upto last three months. try to send him some money time to time (you may not want it ......lol but just to keep the record straight) if any of your friends visits Pakistan ask them to meet up with your husband and have photographs with him and then get letters from friends with copies of their PR card or citizenship stating that they met your husband on their visit to Pakistan. facebook updates are another idea with both of you commenting on each other or other common friends wallpost regarding your pics together and if you taking medication as you indicated, try getting a letter of recommendation from your psychologist to process your husband's application sooner than later for your better mental health, at least by this they will feel some liability as you can potentially sue CiC one day for emotional injury. I will share if anything els comes to my mind but I am sure there will be light at the end of this dark tunnel, just keep walking you are a trooper
50$ you wrote...lol...nahi yar it's just 50 Pak Rupees for Ufone...also for others it must be around that figure (Mobilink, Telenor, Warid, Zong etc.)
and yes facebook idea is kamal...i sent them 1400 pics of my wedding and post wedding, plus we have uploaded most of those on facebook and provided CHC with its link...

1400 pic's, my lord. Brother I heard in order to check the behaviour of bride/groom they are now also checking the pictures of Bonyan & socks to see if made by pure cotton or not. Did you make sure that you have attached those pic's also.

There was a documentry report published in local news paper in Toronto late last yr. An interview was conducted by a famous lawyer in Canada with CHC about their working process. It was mentioned in that report that beside many issues "Polygammy" and "1st cousins" marriages are very common and often required to review carefully to avoid the ......... problem, which required more time to process and cause in delay.
I will see if I can find the news link than I will post.

Hello everyone,,

I am new to this forum and would like to share my experiences with you all. I got the AOR in september 2009, done my medicals, pcc and pcc from UK has also been sent to the embassy, but that was way back in mid 2010. haven't received a single piece of correspondence from them since then!

It's almost 20 months now and I am seriously running out of patience. There's this one thing in particular that I would like to share with you folks. This representative from an MP's office rang my wife yesterday inquiring about if I had received an interview call (which I did not). Well my wife who is my sponsor, asked her to expedite the case in some way and that "why was it taking so long to schedule an interview"! The sodded rep said and I quote, "that's what happens when you get married to someone outside the country"!

How can they say that? Are they even allowed to comment on personal matters?

Well any comments would be appreciated! By the way, I am a husband and my wife has sponsored me in case you haven't figured that out by now.

Thanks

well he is not supposed to make such a statement if you screw him up, he wont call your wife next time to follow up on your case and he might just be being empathic to her not realizing that she may get offended, depends if he said it in sarcastic tone or empathetic tone and by the way it is a reality that we get punished for marrying in Pakistan and we all wonder the very tough choice we made in our lives, despite I agree that it was not his position to make personal statement and he is not an employee of CIC, they are not even Govt employees though funded by Govt, your wife can talk to her MP is she wants to complain
