wsalam wes786 i refused by interview officer was very roud ask me normal Q i replied him for his every Q he told u have very good prepartion every thing is ok i dont know why he took decision against me thus after few days i got refusal letter and after that my wife go for appeal and appeal was successfully allowed .

She need to have SIN number without that declaration is not possible

I would answer two things here ...... the date question which date status changed is the date wen u did nikah ....... see on ur nikah and put that date .......

Second to humtum ........... you dont have to put a sin number if the person is not here , he would not have sin so ........you have to put 000-000-000 ...... in place of sin as this is universal for taxfiling if the person is eligable to be claimed dependent and does not have Sin number ..... cheers

Minister kenney was in Islamabad and good news are to follow as the ambassy raised the work load and suggested minister kenney to get more help and separate the spousal case to a unique team that will clear file faster. Decision is not confirmed I'm waiting for media to confirm and I will let you guys know.

Inshallah things are getting better maybe minister kenney visit was Allah decision because of everyone prayer.

You can declare your martial status but you cannot claim anything until she arrive and get her SIN without that u cannot claim it.

Martial status is confirmed once her SIN is register in the taxation system.

Go to the treasury and taxation and read more I already tried in Quebec and they said not valid till she gets a SIN.

Or you can register her under SIN starting with a numbe 9 but it's valid until she arrives to Canada anyways if the steps are worth saving you alot then get more info on.

But I already went tru the step for it and they said no to me

This is not correct. I know a guy who has claimed, and mentioned his wife as a dependent and non-resident of Canada (without a SIN card). He got a big difference in tax return

You are right ......... i claimed it too ..........you can claim ur taxex even ur wife is not here ..... if you are doing ur self then put sin as 000-000-000 or if HR block is doing it for u .... if agent is experienced she/he will know ........... but for sure u can claim it
