CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2009 -2010

I have a confusion I am filling CAIPS form what to write in reference number and which I have to check I mean the top column only CAIPS file number of my wife or mine(I mean the Mississauga one or Islamabad) . One more thing do I have to send consent form from my wife, I am in Canada.

Pls advise

you leave the reference number blank and you write Islamabad for embassy. You have to send the consent form signed by your wife unless you are her representative in the application and you filled that form and had it signed by your wife.

Not yet..I had sent out my stuff that is passport and remedical on 21st july so i guess couple of more weeks before i get my stuff back from them Inshallah...Keeping my fingers crossed

On my e-Cas, it always said under "Application Received" --> we have started processing your file on October 15 2010, and they just added a new link today that says "In Process" --> We have started processing your file on june 21st, 2011. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing as my assumption was they would have started processing when they received the file. I really hope the 24 month processing time does not start from june 21st....does anyone else have a similar situation and time line? How is this information to be interpreted? My wife has not received any letter since we had sent her application to sponsor. Does this just mean they started the initial review on June 21st? As mentioned before, she has not gotten any letter from the embassy and her medical and PCC are expired now.

Received in Mississauga - August 5th, 2010
Start processing in Mississauga - September 3rd, 2010
Application Received in Islamabad - October 15, 2010
Start processing in Islamabad - June 21,2011

Hey there, dont worry too much about eCas. It is not too reliable. There are cases where people have already landed in Canada while eCas was still showing 'in process' ;D Inshallah, you will hear from them soon.

No updates on my wife's file yet .. It seems like they havn't started the initial review yet.

Danny thank you very much for your help , no actually my wife has been asked to re-fill 4 FORMS in one of those forms there is a box to write all addresses you have lived since 18th Birthday..

i am talking about that form.

Yeah .. if its the address where she lived since 18th Birthday, then you just write the house address, even though she was attending university outside Karachi and commuting to Univ.

Did you not receive any requests so far ? Most likely they started the initial review on June 21st, but your wife should have got the request by now.
