Very useful piece of info and I believe I became victim of getting reviewed by IO & Decision Making officer twice as I sent an update including PCC, wife's visit n all in APR 2011 and later same month I noticed in CAIPS that my initial review was done in Feb and a relationship genuineness was approved in early March 2011 so there it cost me around 2 month overhead in my timeline anyway better late then never..

I don't understand why some of these silent readers don't contribute. Sometimes they have such good ideas but they don't throw it out to the readers. I really request people to throw out ideas that you think will help others sooner than later.

heyyy.. mujhe bhi abhi tak koi request nahi mili.. merey husband ne last month email ki thi they said ur file is in queue for review by an immigration officer.. uske baad mera address disappear ho gaya usko re-appear hue bi 2 weeks ho gae but koi updates nahi mili...merey husband august main 3 times email kar chuke hain but no any reply.. pata nahi yeh log kia kar rahe hain.. october ke kuch aors ke re-pcc aur medical ho bhi gae.. apne embassy main email ki??? koi reply aya wahan se???

I totally agree with you Wes but the problem is that I wasn't sure about it until my assumptions made sense in my case. So I thaught I may mis guide people by sharing my guesses. But yes I do appologize for not getting in but i was not a regular visitor. I will try to drop by very often now and I would like to take this opportunity to thank and appreciate you for all your contributions and help to the forum members. Jazaak Allah!

Send them a letter notifying the change of address by courier or by fax (prefferably both, courier and fax). The letter should be from applicant and make sure its signed and dated. Dont forget to mention complete details about yourself, your full name, file number and date of birth.

By the grace of GOD, My wife got Remed and PPR together today. Alhamdulillah.

I applied for her in April 2010 and Process started in Islamabad July-2010.

I was visiting this forum very often and it helped me a lot. You guys are awesome.

May God help us all to get rid of this tiring process soon! Aameen!

I have some suggessions to all my friends here. This is what I have observed and experienced, so decided to share with all!

As soon as the initial review is over, please do not send any further contact details, supporting documents, proof of relationship or any updates (other than what you really want to update, like: Address change or change in family structure etc) unless they ask you explicitly for those. ORDER CAIPS OFTEN, so that you know how your initial review went.

What happens is once they are done with your initial review, they normally decide your case right there and decision making officer is just a counter signing kind of guy who just follow the thread of comments and suggessions from the initial review. When you send extra documents in the middle of that, even if they have already made their decision, they are obligated to send the file back to the immigration officer to review those documents (They can not ignore your letters as they become part of your file). In that case your file looses its spot in the decision making queue or whereever it is and then again gets in the queue for review which means adding another 2 months.

Obviously you cant get around that when they ask you for further details but if they dont ask anything after initial review, i suggest to not to overload them with extra information, which infact they do not require.

Freinds with Nikkah only cases, please try to get the Rukhsati done well before Initial Review. Because when you loose your spot in initial review, there is a long queue of people with all kind of different objections. Dont wait for objections to come, be proactive.

For the friends who are in queue for initial review. Its the best time to send more supporting information to make your case simple and understandable. Once they doubt it, they do every possible check to clear their doubts. so its better to stay on track.

I am not pointing fingers at you at all bro, just saying it in general so don't need to apologize I am just saying that if you have an idea or an assumption just throw it out there. Acting on it or not is totally up to the reader but it just helps out. However I do see your point too that some inexperienced applicants might act upon something that they read incorrectly which could cause then more delay so I totally see where you going with it too

Thanks Ayesha. Surprizingly she did not recieve that request. only correspondence after AOR was Re-med & PPR. Thats good but honestly speaking doesnt make sense.

Yeah thats odd and very unlike CIC! But chalo at the end of the day all is well that ends well Im so glad that you planned everything out and it worked in your favour...InshAllah she will get her passport back with the visa in about 6 weeks or so haina? What do you think?
