Just a heads up regarding calling cards being used to call your overseas spouse, the almighty Canadian High Commission does not recognize the use of calling card as a valid proof of communication between the forlorn loves living apart (with their blessings of course, to live apart I mean) so you may like to pay a bit more to accomplish the desired results (called family reunification) in terms of providing them call history (since they cant officially ask for our bedtime stories, it has to something closer (if assumed so) such as call history.

Calling cards in Canada gives call history details which can be printed from their website, however, in Pakistan I don't think any of the prepaid cards have those features so yes make sure you can get the call logs some how, bacause if you just send the prepaid cards as proofs they don't count!

Still havnt announced an official date they start working, just said in a few days so who knows when that day would actually come. Hopefully soon!!!

Because they dont like PAKIS, no there is nothing like that, they can issue u a visa if ur application is strong.

Has anyone on this forum (or you know someone else might have) been able to secure visit visa while sponsorship application is in process? I have generally heard that one should not expect visit visa for spouse and children while sponsorship application is in process. I would appreciate members' response.
