i landed 26 july toronto(mississauga) and yesterday i got job 12$/hur 5 days a week.i got 2 bed room basement 900$.

Hope you are doing well. What did you do about temporary health insurance because health insurance card takes 3 month to be made there in Canada after landing. Which companies in pakistan are offering that kind of temporary health insurance. What about international driving license, have you got one from pakistan. What is the 1st year car insurance [approximately] on international driving license.
Qorax has explained about temp. health insurance in the below link, but ambiguity is this that which reliable co. in Pakistan offering this service.

thanks Farrukh. when CHC gives us a push by not sending our ppr,there s disappointment ,But U r 100% right I, & all of us must trust ALLAH.We will soon receive our pprs in this month of RAMAZAN............

I didn't got any health insurance from pakistan so unable to comment on this. Yes i got international D License from Pakistan and you can drive on your International License for only 3 months but can't get insurance on it so better to get license as soon as you can.

Dear Kazkaz, dont panic. I understand your feelings as I was in the same situation when I arrived here in Mississauga in March 2011. I got my first job in last week of May in Toronto i.e after almost 3 months. It was an odd labor job in a warehouse. I also need to travel all the way from Mississauga to Toronto by bus on daily basis and come back again.
So my advice is not to move so early, put some more time in Toronto as it’s a good place to live and find ur first job in Canada. If you need any kind of information or help, feel free to contact me.
