Hi folks,

I just had my passports returned to my home address this morning via TCS Visatronix (I had applied through Gerry's FedEx, but oddly Gerry's has not sms-ed me or called me or anything) and a call for medical tests. I had applied on June 20, 2011, so this has come after 37 days of having applied (just over 5 weeks). I will be trying to get an appointment and return the passports as soon as possible now.

The medical letter says that the sooner you get your medical tests done, the better, as it will expedite your application's processing.

thts cool man... which city do u belong to... whns ur appointment?

I also applied to Gerry on 23rd of Jun and still wating for the medical request

Congrates!
Get your medical done by Dr. Neelofar in Islamabad, she processes fast and you can request her to send the reports immediately telling her your situation. She is good
All the best

OK thanks for recommending Dr. Neelofar -- I'm just trying to get through to them right now. Also you need to get negatives of your passport-sized pictures made to take with you. So before I go for the medical, I have to go to my photographer and get the medicals from him. Only then can I actually ask for an appointment from a DMP.

They also ask you to bring other stuff to the medical appointment: papers about your medical history if you've been on any major drug therapies or if you've had TB and been treated for it (I haven't got any substantial medical history in recent years so I won't be taking anything with me).

(I'm from Islamabad.)

Thats great news......
It means, 5 weeks is the expected time to receive medical letter......

I hope and expected to receive medical letter in starting weeks of August (Inshahallah)......

Remember all of member of this forum to receive medical letter and grant visa (ameen).

Inshallah, you guys will get your medical calls too, I get the sense that the CHC is moving things forward now given that everybody's programs are starting in September.

I had applied on 13june no medical request yet.... :'(

Owais, I wasn't expecting my call this week at all -- I was quite surprised when it showed up. Your medical call must be on the way. If I've gotten the call earlier, my guess is that it's because I had the FBI run a background check on me and sent it with my application -- I was able to do this because I studied in the US for my Master's from 2007-2009. So I assume with an FBI background check they didn't need to do too many security checks on me.

This is so ridiculous -- they want you to take a negative of your passport-sized photograph for the medical tests. I assume they will send the negative to Delhi with the test results. It takes at least a day to get a negative made. So those of you who are on high alert for medical test calls -- get a negative made beforehand so that you don't waste time when the call comes.

Today, I got this email....
