Chat logs format

Here's another question!! I did a search before posting this but didn't really find what I was looking for!

My question is about submitting chat logs, Facebook Messenger mostly.

I want to submit chat logs between me and some friends we are talking about my relationship with my partner, our plans and things like that. Obviously there are parts of those conversations that are just not pertinent, so I've been copying and pasting the parts that are relevant into a Word document... Is that legit or will it look weird? I'm not very computer savy so I'm not sure how else to do this haha...

Same applies to some char logs between my partner and I (although there aren't that many since we haven't really been apart since we met). I'll just take bits and pieces of it..

Hello,

That is kind of how I did it. What I did is I actually did a screen shot of our conversations. On the top right of your key board there will be that option. So for example start from a beginning of a conversation, press screen shot on your keyboard, then copy and paste that screen shot in word. Keep scrolling down and doing screen shots. I found that the easiest way to do it. You can private message me and I can show you examples of you would like. It sounds confusing in words but it is very easy. But the way you are doing it is fine as well.

I was just afraid that it might look like we are hiding something but now that I think about it, it doesn't make sense to print out our ENTIRE chat log. It would be hundreds, maybe thousands of pages. Most of it things like "I'll be home in an hour" or "I forgot my sweater, can you bring it to me?" ... Not sure any officer wants to comb through pages of that stuff haha...

Exactly! I included 3 conversations per month just so they could see our relationship is ongoing
